Is this worthy of a chat restriction? Context: Azir was upset that surrender vote failed and ran it down a few times after swearing at me in what I believed was Spanish for saying the game was winnable. Udyr (his duo) told me to kill myself.
Could I have handled this better? Obviously. Should the average player really be expected to? Like why am I being chat restricted rather than the azir calling me an ape and his duo telling me to kill myself? I made one joke about how he should stick to annie after he was raging at me in caps lock. I just wanted to play a game I believed was winnable before I started getting raged at.

Context: Azir was upset that surrender vote failed....... he was raging at me in caps lock.

The system isn't really perfect and it doesn't take into consideration of what was the situation. It filter outs certain words/ phrases and judges based on the frequency and severity of those chatlogs. AKA what words you used and how often.

Also you kept on trying to prove how the air was bad and tried to justify multiple times in multiple ways how he is a bad player/ playing bad which will get you punished. Also as a bonus, riot recently said you can apparently get punished for typing too much ingame which I think you come close to this game.

I never once said he was bad. He was literally running into the enemy team after the surrender vote failed.

You kind of hinted at it all game though. It's not just 1 specific word that would get you punished, it's your overall attitude.

Only 2 chat log which arguable refer to azir skill, and honestly he was being really nice the entire game.

Most people would've just afked instead of trying to win.

It's still a valid report for minor toxicity.

Riot punishes for consistency x severity. Many games of the same behavior will still get you punished.

Is really trying to make the best of a bad situation (Being told to kill myself by udyr and azir inting down mid and flaming me) by making a VERY light jab in the form of a joke really toxic while their behavior goes unpunished? Even streamers like imaqtpie tell people "F*** you" and stuff of that regard going unpunished. What I said clearly does not have as much of an impact as what they said? He called me an "ape" and it's reportable for me to say "0/5/0 with the 'ape' comment"? Is that really toxicity?

  1. He was quoting the azir, azir said something along the lines of "your x/x/x, you ape" and he replied back the azir's KDA.
  2. Azir was intentionally feeding, nothing wrong with pointing it out.
