Your behavior isn't judged relative to others. It's judged on yours alone.

Asking and telling people to report someone and insulting them is poor behavior.

One report is all it takes to have a game flagged for review. Asking others to report serves no other purpose than to use the system to attack someone else in chat.

I'm not going to bother to answer the poll because it's the wrong question. Your behavior was poor enough lately to get you a chat restriction. You are not necessarily a rude person by nature.

if it was you what would you have done. he ruined the game for everyone. but mostly me I figured more reports the faster action would be taken. I don't see how players like that can get away with their actions while team players like me get a 10 game chat ban. tell me how that's fair....

You weren't banned just talking, you were banned for poor behavior. The system doesn't care if you believe the target of your poor behavior deserved it.

Read the TOS you’re right sad an American citizen (assumed) are not the same as your rights in league. When u hit agree without reading you agreed to these terms

They are in the TOS you do not have the “freedom of Speech” in league of legends, or in most online games.

for asking for my teams help in getting rid of a toxic player. I am livid. there is no excuse. if you saw everyones chat in the log you might sing a different tune. it wasent only me calling for a ban he ruined the game and put a bad taste in my mouth with this joke of a ban system

You did go off on him. You constantly asked people to report him, claimed he was trolling, and told him he was playing stupid.

Muted him. Took the situation as something outside my control (constantly telling people to report him certainly wasn't going to change it). Reported him at the end of the game.

Funny thing about trolls, they'll often lose interest if you don't feed them. And holy shit, did this guy get a meal out of you.

Spamming "report Udyr" through the entire game accomplishes nothing. Group reports are not a thing. One report flags the game for review, and multiples are redundant. Campaigning for other players to report somebody for bothering you is at best pointless, and at worst can reasonably be seen as harassment. This is a worst case.

"Reasonably" if this is harassment anyone who gets trolled or flamed or cursed at or has hate speech flung at them and asks for help is toxic,. there is nothing reasonable about it stop looking at this like a robot and have a heart and think about what youre really saying

You're level 15, half the people you're gonna have on your team don't know how the game even fucking works.

You don't seem like a new player, but if you are, here's the truth:

  1. Calling for reports is against the rules, regardless of context.
  2. Harassing other players is against the rules, no exceptions.
  3. Learn to mute, report, and move on. This sort of reaction is unacceptable.

If you're gonna be an ass and disregard everything we're saying, I'm gonna bluntly tell you what's up and then leave this thread.

You're level 15. The fact that you've already earned a punishment on this account is ridiculous. There's tons of leniency built into this system, and to have used it up by level 15 is insane, to the point where your best course of action is probably to abandon the account and start a new one.

This is your wake-up call. Stop bitching and acting like a victim. Man up. You broke simple rules and got punished for it. Learn from that experience, or face escalating punishments in the near future, up to and including a permanent ban if your behavior doesn't drastically improve, be it on this account or a new one.

"shut up" "jerk" you say "muted" but seems you keep talking with him, again telling players to report someone is considered as poor behaviour. when you are punished, only what you say is being taken into account, it doesn't matter why you said what you did..

Just because the player may have baited you into poor behavior is violating the rules AND ALSO SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND PUNISHMENT does not absolve you from punishment if you're dishing out violations yourself. You mute them, report them, maybe vent your frustrations with those types of players here, but you don't waste your time trying to win the war of public opinion IN the game. It may be the battle you want to fight to feel better, but it has a time and place and that's not on Summoner's Rift.

Its the principle of the matter i may be in the wrong but we can all agree that there is a problem on league with trolls and if you can accept them getting into my head youre accepting them getting to you one game. and i don't wish that on anyone. I'm so mad its ruined my whole day. that is not ok. this is a game... ill take my ban but like i said heartless replies like this are a joke. no one stands up for anyone any more. and if you really want to play a game where you have to mute all waste 45 min of youre time in a hell or else you leave and get banned that's fine with me. I'm not taking it standing down and if that makes me toxic i guess ill take the ban. I'm not some pussy who takes slights like that i stand up for myself and others . that is all this community is broken in the head.

The solution is not to flame them. Even if you weren't punished for this, flaming them is stilling doing what they want. You're going to get trolls in some of your games. It's unavoidable. Don't lose your temper from a single perceived troll.

and you did wish it on people. Anyone who didn't obey your demand to report the Udyr.
