Abuse to Supports

I am a support main, and recently had a string of games where my teammates would harass me before the game even started due to picks, get yelled at because I would "die too much," and for "not warding." One thing, as a support, is to sacrifice yourself to save the ADC or other carries. Now, sometimes its better to not sacrifice, but there are many times where the support should take the death over the ADC. This raises the number of deaths, obviously. Also, supports are not supposed to be the ones getting all the kills, I believe that the supports should be utility, tank, sustain, etc. So with that, our KDR is bad, and other players use this as a premise to abuse the supports. Also, the support role doesn't mean "only support the ADC," but to support the team. After laning phase, I would roam mid or help in engagements in the river. One situation would be the mid, jungle, and myself (the support), trying to get the mid tower after laning phase. I will have warded the mid-river bushes as well as another bush in the river/jg, as well as having my control ward placed at bot where the ADC is farming, and having one in my inventory. If/when the ADC dies bot, they sometimes will blame me for their death because I "didn't ward." I believe this is an issue for a lot of support players, getting abused in chat. Sure you can mute players, but then you miss out on the potential of sharing information. Then there are pings, where I might get the missing ping spammed on top of me. I could mute the pings, but that just further inhibits the communication for the team, which leaves us at a disadvantage. Communication is key to the game, but when it is used to insult or abuse other players, it ruins it. I believe there should be something to give recognition to supports, because as it is now, supports don't really have anything to back themselves up with.
