Hate the Player, Not the Game

It is unfortunate that I love League as much as I do. If it where any other game, the player base alone would have run me off so long ago. Instead I sit through games and read disrespectful comment after juvenile remark and shake my head. Sure i can mute the player, I can report them, ignore them and move on but I shouldn't have to be doing these things every game. it has gotten to the point where I am literally amazed when i get through an entire game and no body name calls or belittles or trash talks or trolls. I mean I'm not saying everyone should get in trouble for being upset that they're not playing well or whatever the case is and i don't want league to become censored like it is for kids or something. Mainly I'm just venting at the constant disrespect. Recently I had someone tell me that my mother should die because I didn't gank his lane enough. Now I get that some people have a dark sense of humor but it wasn't the first mean thing they said and even if I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they were kidding it was still in really bad taste. The old saying is "Don't hate the player, hate the game." With league, I really can't. I'm ranked silver and I'm not great or terrible at the game but I try to be a good sport in victory and defeat but at the end of the day I am not rewarded for playing nice, and I don't see people punished for bullying. The system is such that I hate the players of the game, and that's really unfortunate.
