Seems like people aren't banned unless they chat

Have gotten several repeat players on my other account over the past few months that literally just run it down, but they never talk in chat. Despite like 9 reports on them all every game, they are still just there not being banned. The most they type in chat is a ":)" after they achieved their 19th death. I have had to "obtain" entirely new accounts just so I can play without having to worry about a forfeit game every time I Q up. Is Riot just asleep at their keyboards, or what?

EDIT: Just as a side note, I am 100% sure they are intentionally feeding. They buy mobis and raptors and just straight zoom it down a lane.

It's easier to detect chat based infractions. It's harder to detect stealth trolling. That's why it feels like people only get banned for chat violations.

They'll get what's coming to them.

Yes, I get people chat restricted all the time over nothing. It's Rito's state of the art report system. The only way to avoid chat restriction is by not communicating at all. (FUNNY considering non-communication is a rreportable offense)

It seems like they're not worried about actual trolls/feeders that ruin the game. Considering they're auto-banning everybody who uses chat in-game instead. Time to update your .txt blacklist for the chat bans rito. lmfaooooo

Wrong on both counts. Non-communication hasn't been reportable for a while, and I've been playing for 5 years without a single chat restriction and I do plenty of communicating.

That's not what anyone was saying... What we're saying is that, unless you type in chat something toxic, it doesn't matter what you do. I could go run it straight down mid for 30 minutes non stop, but unless I said something bad in chat I will NEVER be banned.

Oh you're right I'm wrong (while I continue to get people chat restricted over nothing). You don't have to believe me, just consider yourself lucky you haven't been reported yet. I will remember not to communicate also, lmfao at your logic. You can avoid chat bans by not communicating, the second you say a single word you're getting restricted, yes more than one person has tested this to be true.

Also you realize that you can intentionally feed and troll without consequence as long as you don't type in chat. If you don't realize this you're speaking on opinion and not facts. Which has no place in this type of discussion.

I've been playing-- and talking in chat-- since S1. I've had players try to bait me. I mute them, and continue talking to the rest of the team. I've never even had a warning.

And I have seen feeders banned-- even some who tried to balance "bad" games with good ones, or even ride the line to avoid negative kda scores. The problem comes from a combination of Riot not wanting to punish innocent players and people confusing low skill will with trolling and feeding. Every time a player is reported for a genuine bad game, it takes time away from detecting trolls and intentional feeders. It takes something that is already harder to detect than simply scanning chat logs, and adds extra complexity to detecting the true problem players.

Refusing to communicate hasn't been on the Report list in years. And even when it was still there, it never actually resulted in a punishment.

The whole honor system is cancer. You can be getting honor left and right and not rise at all. The ban system is also cancer.

The instigators more of a problem than the retaliatory since the retaliatory wouldn't exist without the instigators. However, riot only focuses on the retaliatory because rito logic. Meanwhile the community defends this dumb as fuck process. I'm not saying the retaliatory are not guilty. However, it hardly requires a brain to know which is worse and who should be focused more.
