Sick of bans due to retaliation and the extreme punishment provided
Just come back from a two week ban fair enough. Been banned so many times i care to count no more. This one is uncalled for and again shows how stupid the ban system is. The in game client reform card simply shows me telling my team to focus and get on with the game. Just because im not polite i get banned? The second game i get an afk and an adc who refuses to play. This player flames from min 1 but when i tell them to 'stfu' and 'focus' im the one who gets banned? For simply trying my hardest to win and climb ranked in a stressful 4 v 5 game and when another player tilts me im the one who gets the fall for trying to tell THEM to play harder. Would you rather me stay quiet let my team flame each other and ultimately loose the game???? For trying to be positive and win the game i get banned :))))) nice to see riot supports their players. I may not have the best track record of accounts but certainly the last few i have been banned again and again for simply trying to get my team to be a team. This is wholesomely unreasonable. Whilst im aware riot will once again do nothing about this it saddens me to think that a company i see as progressive in their industry cant even take the time to see the real culprits of their community
Im generally not the type to blaim others for me losing a game. Chances are if i lost its probably due to my lack of skill. In this game i was playing Azir who takes awhile to get going so all i can really do is try keep my team happy till i can crack on. When i do finally get a chance i have to deal with a flaming unhelpful player who disrupts the chemistry of the rest of my team. I just want to win i couldn't give two if he wants to be a flaming nut bag. But i do care when it interrupts players on my team who actually WANT to win. We went with our A game but because i try and silence the pessimistic players i get banned. How illogical is that
As i see constantly in this feed the ever crying question to riot is; What do you want us to do in these situations?
seems to me if you take one wrong step its a slippery slope into the world of restrictions and bans which frankly for most players of silver and below seems wholesomely unjustified. You mean to say because i told the player who refuses to help to focus with his game albeit in not the most polite manner im the one who will get called up? I have begun to question if the chat is secretly a trap to ban players and so reduce server stress or some other technical reason. If you type you get banned and to the more boisterous part of your community we again cry out
What do we do?
would you like us to stop typing? can we get some sort of self imposed chat ban?
is freedom of speech a joke in this 'game'. If one is to intentionally go out their way to make others have a negative experience i can understand. If you're booting up the client to flame then you should be for sure trying another game. But retaliation is illegal. Isn't that same to say self defence in a murder attempt is illegal.
having looked at this analogy however i come across an even greater problem of fact that this is a game. We are not a community of esport players to be governed to strictly by such obscene rules. Whilst pro football players may be judged for offensive actions in a pro game, we dont expect the neighbourhood kids to be impartial to some trash talk. And wouldn't these same kids get mad and retaliate if one amongst decided to ruin their game. Perhaps they wouldn't go straight and beat said kid up, that would call for authorities to step in (be it adults or police), but a bit of roughing up would be understandable no? Is that not how society works?
Trying to force your community to retain their emotions for the goal of a few lp seems ridiculous. I thought this is meant to be a game yet i find myself more serious and unhappy here than anywhere else. For me this game has helped me through many hard times but my faith in its management is starting to wane. How can i support a company that condemns me for defending myself. After putting all those hours into learning a champ or play style (about 600k on zed for myself) its devastating to be cucked from showing my skill because of another rowdy player who gets the best of me.
Either an option to mute oneself NEEDS to be implemented or an update of how cases are looked at is severely required. Perhaps other severs are different but for euw i can say we are a rowdy bunch who need to let off steam. We can only change so much. From the days of season 6 their has been a clear change but now too much is asked. We want to play a game not have another job. Is the internet not a free place?
