I've been around league for a while now and I've always enjoyed the game, but one aspect has always confused me. Does this game have an implemented prisoners island? is it coming soon? im just sick and tired of all the toxicity in games and was wondering if it will be better in the foreseeable future.

No.

Riot does not believe in "prisoner's island". Riot believes that everyone should have the right to play the same game as everyone else. If they're toxic, they either reform or they lose their account.

Plus, prisoner's island is a kinda meh way to deal with toxicity. It'd have higher queue times, less cooperation, more trolling... Nobody would ever be able to get out of it.

Riot has stated they will not use the Prisoner Island concept. Will edit with a link.

To me it's a shame Riot is refusing to implement this, or even try it large scale. For some obscur reason they believe there is a moral responsability in a video game to put everyone in a toxic environment to "maybe" save "someday" and reform 5% of true toxic people ? How many other players with be influenced by the toxic one and become toxic whereas they were "normal" before ? What about the other players right to play in a healthy environment ?

  • For me you should just have a "toxicity mmr", evolving in time, and play with people nearly toxic as you are. If you behave better than your team, you improve.
  • For queue time, same as with normal mmr, extand mmr research range over time.
  • For cooperation and trolling, you have what you deserve, so what's wrong ?

And again, it's only a video game, you're not like a government with moral responsability to save your people. They can just stop playing and do something else :).

(Or if not implementing this is just about the money cause those 5% may stop playing & buying that's a really sick reason)
