Lately I've strongly considered just muting everyone right away. When on a losing streak especially I just don't want to hear everyone's whining. Is that a bannable offense or a viable strategy to playing?
I still ping and respond to pings, I just don't want to hear the comments.

Great Muta8 votesWhat about when they become unmuted in post-game chat? If you got flamed in Round 1 in the game and had to mute someone, Round 2 is coming in post game chat, where you get to watch people ask for your report, since mutes end in post game chat.

I like that it unmutes, so I can see if they were flaming me or not. Then I just make a legitimate report because of it and they move 1 step closer to punishment. Don't take insults personally... nobody plays perfectly every game, and theyd say it to anyone if your team ends up losing. They just wanna blame someone so the other people "know" that it's not their fault. I don't like being flamed during the game just cuz it's a distraction and affects my decision making. After game? Go ahead and pointlessly flame me, because you're only hurting yourself when I report you for it. Just don't take it personal, they don't know you or how well you play on average.
Deep Terror Nami6 votesAdd them to your block list with /ignore (or maybe it's /squelch) and they won't be unmuted in the lobby. For a little while they updated the in-game muting to actually block the player, but realized it was too heavy-handed so reverted it. It's always possible they may revisit this as a separate feature for ease of use.

Can someone please tell me what Riots champion game designers think about making a champion in LoL with similar transparency passive like Mortred from original Dota ( not Dota 2, where Mortred isn't transparent ) ? Or like Ghosts / Dark Templar fluctuations from Starcraft 2? I am not talking about Stealth or Camouflage, but visual effect that makes champion hard to spot at first sight, but he still can be fought and targeted as a normal champion.

gladly. it's unfair to the players who arent toxic. but become unable to communicate with their team. because everyone in thier elo mutes them before they can even type. if this is the standard for low mmr. they should eliminate chat altogether

duckarp2 votesI'm not against muting others if they harass you, I object only against preemptive muting of everyone in the game. Yes, there are many dumb/frustrated/childish.. people in the game who are just venting their problems on others, but there are also many nice people out there. They are just not as vocal. Same people are outside of your home, so you decide to never go outside and just order everything from the Internet? If you preemptively "shield" yourself from the whole community, you let the toxic minority to win.

Ranked isn't for fun. It's not for socializing. People are there to do work, climb, and get to at least gold, because that's when Riot stops ****ing them over and giving out free skins for their main they cant otherwise purchase.
I don't mute people in Normals. I have a ton of fun in normals. But in ranked, you should mute me because I'm going to constantly tell you what the team needs, how we can win, and how we can regroup after screw ups.

coreychichi1 votesI've been doing it for a while. Little to anything constructive is ever said in chat, especially at my elo. Pings are mostly fine, although i do wish i had a "this is warded" ping.
