Report function flawed?

I am not sure if I uploaded the pictures correctly, but if I did they should show in the imgur.com url you find at the bottom of this post. If there is another way to upload pictures, please do tell.

I made a support ticket a while back (my first due to it being such a hassle) because of a player being very verbally abusive in post game lobby as he kept it to a minimum during the actual match. What caught my attention is that even after attached picture which contained the name of said player (which is not allowed for me to display) and some of the messages he wrote. I got the reply that:

Sadly, we can’t often take action on reports sent to us through tickets, but we created the Instant Feedback System to help us track when a player is consistently hurting others. Even if you couldn’t use the report feature for this game, please keep using it when you can. Reports you make provide us with valuable tracking information and help to escalate players to our attention for investigation.

Does this mean that stuff written in the post game lobby is your "freepass" to act almost as toxic as you please? Due to it not being a valid report ingame. I am aware that they might not be able to do anything from a picture (due to photoshop, etc) because they do not have/want to spend the resources from it.

But why isn't the report you do at the end of the game involving both Pre match, match and post match chats? This system seems a bit flawed in that way.

Anyone that could shine some light on the matter for me? I have gotten some great responses on my earlier posts.

IFS takes pregame/postgame into consideration.

Then wouldn't the quoted respons I got be obsolet? Since as I am reading it, it says that I couldn't report this player this game due to him keeping it in the post game lobby chat rather than ingame.

Rather than informing me that the report option takes both postgame and pregame into account when you are reporting a player for acting out of line?

It doesnt say that: Rioter asumed that u couldnt report said person using normal report system which can happen for various reasons (you dc after game is over, you leave lobby too fast, u click skip waiting for stats...). He asumed that because people open ticket to report someone only if they cant report after game. They dont expect people to waste their time double reporting.

Do you know where I can find this information from Riot themselves? Not that I am distrusting anyone, but just to be on the sure side that I got all the information correctly.

He doesnt say that because he just sent you prewritten message they sent to most people that report players using ticket. They get thousands of tickets daily about all kind of problems and sorted by priority, reporting players are lowest on priority(because there is ingame system for it, there is no ingame system if you have problems with RP or Client or Account and serious stuff like that). So if they are too overwhelmed with tickets,they will send prewritten ones to people who report other players using ticket. I dont know which information you want from Riot themselves, its a common sense that all kind of chat is checked during report.

I don't think you asked him directly if reports see post game chat, that's why he didn't say anything. Why would he tell you to use the report feature, if it wouldn't have seen the post game chat anyways?

I think the Support was referring to if you couldn't report due to client crash, lack of post gane lobby, leaving it, etc.

And they do take action on reports in tickets, but only when there's a pattern. Furthermore, they don't release information as to if they took or didn't take action on this report to you per their policy on player privacy.

That I understand, that they might have thought that. But I still think that if it is not said, it is wrong to assume since it can go very wrong in some cases.

That they couldn't realease any information due to diffferent reasons is understandable, and not really an issue. However I would like to have it clarified somewhere that it actually does take the post/pregame chat into consideration.

Do you know anywhere where I could find this information?

Where are you getting this free pass idea? He said they couldn't take action on your support ticket, he didn't say anything about post game lobby. Why didn't you report using the report feature? You used a ticket, and he said that's not the way to do it. So no, it's not obsolete. He's responding to the fact that you used a ticket. Use the IFS...how retarded would that be if it couldn't even see lobby chat? Of course it does. I'm dumbfounded as to where your logic is on this "free pass" cuz it's post game lobby.
