Moving forward from the fires of flame

I remember starting league in season 6 cause my friend suckered me into it while i was playing wow(which i do not play anymore thanks to this game). I remember how upset i used to get when i made plays that were questionable. And in the back of my head deep somewhere maybe i still do. And after looking through the boards I noticed a lot of negative posts on the boards.

So do people think that getting punished by any kind of toxicity is fair?

I have had a 14 - day suspension before and let me tell you I have stooped pretty low. Coming from someone who has been super toxic and inted in a normal game(not to discredit the validity of the ban) I have to say not saying a word in chat is actually surprisingly difficult. From other peoples perspective who have their emotions in check they might not see it that way and think a report is necessary.

So if the report system is based off of what people feel is bad then shouldn't mild forms of toxicity be okay?

If that is not the case then why do so many people go without punishment?

not a rant, just looking for a general consensus.

They don't get away with mild forms of toxicity. Those valid reports accumulate in a player's behavioral history, and when they get over a certain amount of validly reported games over a certain number of games, they get punished.

Just because the system sucks at letting you know someone got punished, doesn't mean they got away with it.

Only the last person to report someone before they get punished gets a notification. Just because Riot doesn't personally email you every day with a list of the people that got restricted/banned the day before, doesn't mean it's not happening. Just look at the boards for 24 hours and you will see dozens of people wondering why they got banned.

BTW, mild toxicity (if you mean cussing a little or saying "you suck" once in awhile) is okay. It's repeatedly being toxic (and reported for it ) over several games or specific hate speech that gets you punished.
