I went afk in the last 3 minutes of a Urf match because I couldn't stand it anymore, and I got 5 20 minute queue penalties. Punishment is understandable, but 20 minutes? Jesus Christ, not even a normal match is that long lmao :v

It's obviously meant to encourage you not to AFK in the future.
That means you've been punished by the Leaverbuster before. 20 is as long as it gets. The punishment takes forever to deescalate though.
Next time you won't AFK.
One wonders if the match may have continued longer than three minutes if it hadn’t suddenly become a 4v5.
Sorry but regardless of popular opinion, non-ranked game modes does not mean it is okay go AFK, disconnect, or not play properly. If you do not like AURF, just do not play it. And considering how consistently Riot lets things slide, you must have previous punishments, which means a lot of reports.
The only way to get a 20 minute LPQ (the highest LPQ penalty) is by consistently leaving/afking in games. Yes stuff happens from time to time which is why there's built-in leniency for those situations. That said, eventually that leniency gets used up the more you abuse it, such as in your case unfortunately. From the Leaverbuster FAQ:
HOW LONG WILL I REMAIN IN THE LOW PRIORITY QUEUE? You will be placed in the low priority queue for 5 games. If you continuously leave, the low priority queue timers increase from 5 minutes per game to 10 minutes per game and then capping out at 20 minutes per game.

Leaverbuster escalates. The maximum is 20 minutes. Now that you've reached that, it will be applied every time you AFK from now on, for a very long time.
