My experience today.

Today I was viciously harassed all game by someone who also threatened to report me, since I wasn't playing how he wanted me to. (I was split pushing instead of grouping) I said I had done nothing wrong, what is there to report? He said it doesn't matter, 4 reports in one game is 4 reports in one game.

Today I played another game, with a bottom lane that fed constantly. I said absolutely nothing bad to them during the game, and in the lobby after, I just agreed with someone who said our bottom lost.

Today I received a notification that my behavior is "not in line with the community".

Today I lost a lot of faith in Riot.

Couple of things. 4 reports do not carry more weight than 1. What reporting someone does is trigger a check of their chat logs. This way you can't be ganged up on and permabanned because of bullies. Second, if you truly did nothing wrong, those reports don't mean anything. What you got was an automatic message, it just means that your account has been reported more than usual. If they are false reports, your account is alright and nothing is held against you. However the people who falsely reported you, the weight of their reports is lessened. Think the boy who cries wolf. Hope this clears things up!

Did you report them?

And if you didn't do anything wrong, then you'll be fine. And that jerk who reported you, will have other things to worry about.

I think what's most infuriating is that Riot forces you to type 'I understand' just to make the popup go away.

No, I don't agree with this slap on the hand. I did nothing wrong. Just let me exit this box already.
