Instant 14 days ban after 1 game behaivor? Is it normal?

So, today i received a 14day ban from riot. which i found it weird because it was a game that happened 3 days ago. and in my entire league life i've NEVER received a warning or a chat restrict.

yeah, i was a bit hotheaded but it was 1 game out of 400 were i actually talked. Never been chat restricted or a warning whatsoever. ofcourse its not good what ive done, but yeah giving me a instant 14 days ban is no mercy

You were given the wrong chat logs, which is why it seemed strange the game was from 3 days ago. You can write in to player support for the correct logs, or I can post them for you if you'd like.

Also, the reason it instantly escalated to a 14 day ban is because KYS is zero tolerance.

You cannot be banned for not communicating. That is a myth. You are under no obligation to ping, chat, or communicate in any way.

Normally you would just get chat restricted.

Except that you told someone to kill themselves. Which Riot punishes equally severely as hate speech.

You don't get any chat restriction warnings for saying that sort of thing, they just put you immediately on 14-day ban and after that you're on probation. Any further slip ups and you will be permabanned.

No. If you use hate speech or recial slur then you skip the 10 games chat restriction and 25 games chat restriction.

Because "kys" isn't on the same level as the others. It's not a generic insult, it's a good deal beyond that.

Notice the categories of your insults. There's the "You are a ______" insults, then there are the "Go get/do ________" insults. Notice that the less severe ones (you're a moron, you imbecile) fall into the first category, while all the ones we agree are severe (get cancer, get ebola, go kill yourself) fall into the second category.

I still maintain that telling someone to kill themselves isn't a joking matter. I vividly remember staying up with someone to prevent them from committing suicide, and while there are many factors that go into situations like that one of the tipping points for them was someone saying "kys" in League.

I can't sit by and let people think that saying "kys" to strangers is OK. It's not, it's very much worthy of the 14 day ban it gets.

Thats the problem with it

System is flawed in my eyes on 4 points a) Creative flame goes around it without direction words) b) Multiple reports are valued as 1 XD great.
If 1 report has value of 1 why does 9 reports have value of 1? I am not saying 9 reports should have value of 9. And of course if this were changed premade reports would be reduced (altough how often do you report a player when your premade tells you ... yeah almost never , and extremly rarely someone listens to me..)

If this is what is being asked, your account may have been banned for account compromise, since those are the questions you get asked for account recovery. Not 100% sure though.

You don't have to answer all of them - and in fact getting some of them close but wrong can actually help your case. Example: If they ask what the first three 6300 IP champs you bought were, and you give them the first one you remember and then another 2 of the top 5, or if they're out of order, etc. then it still shows you know information about the account.

Do your best to answer their questions and they'll make the determination as to if you have proven yourself the original owner or not. The system is designed that the original owner should get back their account - so if you are the original owner you shouldn't have any problem with it.

As Djinn said, your account was not necessarily banned but locked or suspended - Riot saw signs your account was being hacked, compromised, or shared between individuals and wanted to ensure that only the original owner of the account had access to it.

Actually, zero tolerance games should always give the 'trigger game' as the chat log. There is a known bug where the trigger game is sometimes not given for zero tolerance penalties (and only zero tolerance penalies). Something I've been meaning to go back and fix for awhile now.

But, I think the only times I've seen escalation to 14 day before are hate-speech or slurs being used. Are you sure this is everything from the log?

Solved by Tantram, these were the wrong logs. The user was not given the correct logs in their reform card.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the system is cracking down harder on the word "retard" lately. It's possible that the community reporting frequency for it has gone up enough that the system is prioritizing it more.
