Why Surrender?

ok so this has been bothering me, i literally just did a match and my team surrendered when it was a good winning chance, and i've gotten this in the past a lot when it's almost a clear win and i'm the only one who agrees that we can win. anyway i'm not a basher, if you're a bad player i'll help you in a match, but this seriously pisses me off cause i say repeatedly while the vote is happening "we got this we got this" "don't surrender" yet what happens... 4 against 1.... anyway if someone can explain this please do cause i'm just pissed off and confused cause people keep doing this in my pvp matches. so again... please explain this for me...

Unlike most other posts I see on here, I feel a certain degree of empathy with you. I do however, wish to offer the following advice.

Part of any democratic process is to agree that the majority opinion takes precedence. If I want to surrender, one guy telling me "don't surrender" will not get me to change my mind.

    If you truly feel the game is winnable, then I recommend  you take the time to formulate WHY you think so. I've managed to sway surrender votes by giving concrete points, which is what I recommend you do. Off the  top of my head, here are a few arguments I've used succesfully.

"Guys I'm (or champion X on my team is) super fed, keep me alive and we can win" "Their only threat is (Champion Y on their team, if we rush him in teamfights, they have nothing else" "Our team has a better teamfight than theirs, we just need one combo"

I especially like the following because it appeals to even the most negative people "Guys i've thrown games from way better positions than they're in... They can too"

  In the end, however, you have to respect that if 4 people in your team no longer wish to play this game, their 4 votes combined supersede your 1 vote.

the human race is a primitive and stupid specie in general, give them fire they find a way to immolate themselves, give them weapons to defends from wildlife they wage war between themselves over imaginary thing like borders (mexican/texas), politics views, religious views. We're just beast with higher brain functions. Give them the option to surrender and they will use it even if the situation doesn't warrant it. Some real war has been won because of that mentality.
