I haven't logged in in about four years...I went to log in today to find my account Perma-Banned...

Welp, I'm pretty confused. I haven't logged into League in about four years. I spent a good few paychecks on the game back in 2013/2014. I was obsessed and loved the game. A lot of doors opened for me in life and I passed through. I'm pretty happy with my life now, happier than I was back then.

Tonight I saw some friends in a discord were playing. They'd all activated their old accounts and were playing for fun. I decided to join them, reinstalled, and quickly found out my account had been permanently suspended. I'd never gotten an email from Riot...I hadn't even logged in for four years...the last time I logged on (years ago) was to buy skins. I played exclusively with friends and we'd talk through TeamSpeak or Skype, so there was no in game chat from me...

I'm really..REALLY confused by this.

Is it possible I could get an explanation? The only possibilities I can think of are my account was compromised (I used an almost 6 year old password and username) or my account was deleted due to inactivity.

This may very well BE because you haven't logged in for so long. League is known to lock accounts if they flag for suspicious activity (for the sake of the account owner.) Chances are, it been so long since you last logged in, that it thinks you might not be you. If this is the case, once you prove that you are indeed you, Riot should return your account. It's a precaution to prevent account theft.

Does it say Permanently Suspended or Banned? If it's just suspended then it probably was for account compromise.

You can send in a Support Ticket through that link, they'll be able to tell you what is going on with the account. If it was just suspended you'll just have to answer some questions to prove it's your account and they can reset the password and stuff for you.

It said Suspended, knowing that suspended doesn't mean banned makes me a bit more comfortable. I'm now assuming it was either because someone tried to login that wasn't me or the account had been untouched for so long.

Most likely because someone tried to use it that wasn't you. As far as I'm aware they don't suspend accounts for inactivity. Like I said, you'll just probably have to answer a few questions about the account (First champion you bought, when it was created roughly, stuff like that) and they should be able to unlock it for you.

Damn, all of that stuff was years ago. Hopefully I remember. I remember dumping paychecks into the game so "First Hero you bought" Probably is a handful at once, lol.

It should be saying Permanently banned not suspended afaik, did you ever get banned before?

They use 'suspended' for cases such as account compromise or chargeback issues because there's a possibility those accounts can be reopened once resolved.

That's what I meant, "It should be saying banned if he's been banned for hacking, toxicity, etc."

It's been over 12 hours and I haven't gotten a reply regarding my ticket...how long does it typically take for them to respond?
