What Exactly Did I Do Wrong Here?

So last night I played some games they went well for the most part, but the last game was rather unpleasant as there was a duo queue (a jungle nid, and a top jayce) berating our ADC who responded with rude remarks back and threatened to AFK. Anywho the entire game I was trying to keep the peace, asking them to mute each other, etc. I log in today to see that I got chat restricted for 10 games and honestly was shocked. So I read the logs of my restriction and I really don't understand where I violated the summoner's code of conduct. Sure my comments weren't angelic but I truly fail to see what I did to deserve being chat restricted for 10 games. If someone could clarify this for me I would appreciate it.

Tbh I guess at worst, just talking too much instead of focusing on the game. If this is really all there was, I'd request a manual review by submitting a Support Ticket.

However, keep in mind that these logs are not necessarily everything that contributed to the punishment. There may be a lot more games with significantly worse behavior, they just weren't chosen to be among the few provided. Player Support may be able to give more.

Thank you, I have heard from others that support tickets about restrictions and bans don't usually do much which is why I went here first, but I will submit a ticket then and see what happens. I guess the worst scenario is they could just say no.

They replied. There were logs from 10+ games back and 2+ days back one the rioter quoted from 21 days ago that I had completely just forgotten about since I try to have the mentality of "forget about last game this is a new game with new people" each game. The logs that were shown to me were rude and clearly I had let my emotions get the better of me in game and should have acted better. I guess the logs shown on my in-client restriction notice were just recent logs that automatically get shown regardless of if they have toxicity in them or not which is why I was confused? This system still confuses me with the automation of it though I preferred back when we had the tribunal. This is what I was told however.

I would put in a support ticket.

Don't repeat the words of others as it might still offend.

This is the only reason i see it being a 10 chat restriction and it is pretty obvious it was not directed at anyone. I HOPE support will over turn this.

As for all the other games they are just games you had been recently reported in.

The first two I honestly don't see anything wrong with, and I'm usually pretty sensitive. The rest have a bit of passive aggressive tone, but seem "suboptimally constructive" at worst. My money's with DTNami; either a manual review might get it rescinded, or there's more you're getting punished for than what they shared with you.

From the perspective of "how to avoid this in the future"? I'd recommend against long (more than 1 line) discussions concerning "please stop flaming". If the person is truly interested in what you have to say, you can talk in post-game. If you have the long discussion mid game, it may cause your other teammates to think you're more focused on arguing than on winning the game.

I think word retard trigger your chat restriction as system doesnt register what and to who you are saying it. it got retard in the database as toxic word and got you a ban

#1 you were annoying #2 you told them to do something they clearly didnt want to again and again (toxic) #3 begging wont get you far, just mute them and play

1: Annoying is based on each individual and their perspective tbh. Like me personally I find it more annoying to lose easy games because of people's attitudes compared to what people say to me. 2: I spoke about what our team as a whole needed to do to win the game which included people not being toxic towards each other calling others retards, imbreds, etc. I believe there is a message in loading screen about how "toxic players lose 17% more of their games" or something like that? Also sometimes to win people have to play in ways they don't enjoy or like to, I don't like playing certain champions or roles but will if the team needs it so we win. I fail to see how communicating what the team needs to do as a whole becomes toxic 3: I fail to see how I am begging, I am asking nicely for my team to get over their problems with each other and mute the people upsetting them. I did not mute because I was not being offended. When the remarks were made towards me I did mute.

Thank you for your feedback though maybe these truly are the reasons I was restricted. I don't agree necessarily that these are/should be the reasons, but I guess they very well could be.

just the amount of times you pressed enter gave you a few reports. thats abusive spam what you did. no wonder they chat restriced you.

I think your biggest mistake is saying "please" too many times. That's a sign of weakness and should be punished. You are lucky that you got only 10 game restriction. So, next time please don't .... See, I did it too. /s

You got the chat restriction because you got reported. Now, if you ask why you got reported, probably because your teammates were world class douchebags. As far as I can tell you tried to positively encourage them (for the most part) to stop arguing and focus on winning. Towards the end you get a little upset as well but manage to maintain your composure. Current auto-punishment system is garbage and you are one of it's countless victims.

The system doesn't just punish because you got reported, (for chat abuse reports) your chat logs are checked for offending behavior. Sure, false positives are possible, but the system is very good at tossing false reports out. There is more to this, or it's an extreme outlier. There are no "countless victims".

this system is a pile of dog shit that just punishes the least important aspect of negative behavious because it's "easier" a company this big should be able to hire 10000 ppl in China to over see manual reviews
