I think leaverbuster should be less harsh in normal game modes (not ranked) because I play it for fun, but emergencies happen as well as work and family come up, and I can't continue. Please reduce the punishment and also reset the timer every month or two or something. Because last time I left a game was like 4 months ago, and timer was still 20 mins. Also I feel like I shouldn't be punished if my team is okay with it, you know? Because sometimes my team was winning but I had to leave and they said its okay and they still won. Please do something about it. This will make me soon change my mind about playing league as well as some of my friends that have to wait 20 mins in queue with me to play, It's simply not their fault. Do something about it!

Okay you already answered your own question... if you really step away that often then you shouldnt play a game with a 20-30 minute expected time commitment.. Plain as that

It's meant to be a punishment. If they made the punishment less severe, people would abuse it. Everyone knows that life happens. When you join a game, you make a commitment. But it is still just a game. Just try to make sure you have time for the game before you start it, at least then you'd be slightly better off. Also, I don't know about you, but usually work doesn't just "come up." You kinda get your schedule ahead of time. So it'd probably be best work around that as well.
