Getting demoted in Silver...

So, after getting trolls in roughly half of my games. Someone wanting to try something new and really revolutionize the wheel... I keep getting demoted. Now, I agree it is competitive gameplay and we're all hoping to get to challenger, and be the next big thing. Here is my issue. I'm being lightly rewarded, and heavily punished for things that aren't always in the realm of my control. Why are bronze/silver/gold players even getting demoted? Most of us are pretty casual and play when we have the time. So, making the next rank in the division is a big deal. We take great pride in that. To get demoted days later by a string of unfortunate luck, and team mates that are just bent on losing. The kind of guys that are so tilted they refuse to see reason, and only grief in the way that got them so tilted in the first place. I'm not making a bankroll off of any game play footage, and I'm not signing any endorsements to play league competitively. The lower brackets really get hammered, and it makes it very hard to pull yourself out. Bad games do happen, and I'm not suggesting otherwise, but I'd at least like to have the grace period before I get demoted raised. The reason demotions were introduced is because people got to a place where they couldn't get demoted and they'd just go on a trolling spree. I think the Tribunal is in a much better place now, and catching those toxic players shouldn't be very difficult anymore. Weed them out. They're ruining my games, and most likely most others who claim how hard it is to get out. I'm probably just tilted myself, season 6. I just want the algorithm for ranked changed or tweaked. Every game, you get 10 people in a game. One has lag issues, one is watching anime/tv while he plays, Six are trying, One is doing terrible and is tilted, and one is reaping the benefits. Removing harsh penalties might help to curve out some tilt, and maybe people won't get forced into these awful games anymore.

Because that's how team games work. The only reason I rant is to rant. It's not to complain that I can't climb because of X. Yes, there will be instances where you will lose and there's nothing you can do about it. However there are instances where you can win, and you haven't been able to capitalize on it because you are where you are. Once you get a couple hundred games under your belt you'll begin to see where you stand in the average scenario.

think about it this way instead.

If there are a bunch of trolls / AFKs in the division, chances are you'll meet up with them in your team and the enemy team as well.

So you ask how can the enemy win with those teammates. It probably boils down to communication and creativity on how to get things to work.
