Reporting and Matchmaking

I don't know if anyone from riot games actually reads these posts, but I had an idea while playing a game today. Sometimes in a game you get a negative (toxic) player that reduces the fun of your game experience, and at the end of the game you report that player for unsportsmanlike conduct. (That's all you can do pretty much). That's all well and good, but I joined queue immediately after playing that game and I was matched with the very same toxic player from the previous game. At the prospect of having to go another 30 minutes playing with the same player, I had this kind of sinking feeling. Then I had an idea... What if riot designed a matchmaking tool that prevents players from being matched with players who they have just reported the previous game? Then after you report someone for taking the fun out of your game, at least you'll be guaranteed to not have to play with them the very next game. Thoughts, ideas, improvements to this proposition? Anyway, good luck in solo queue, and see you on the rift... -Gabbay

Actually now that Forced Team Queue (Dynamic Queue) is here, I don't understand why they haven't implemented that which you are suggesting which has been suggested hundreds of times before.

In the past, the argument was; "It is too abusable, if people report enough, they will get matched with friends and it will be a full organized team every time in solo queue".... which was a reasonable concern, but now that organized teams are the norm, what is stopping them from fixing this?

Hmmm... Yeah I thought of that too, but my idea would but for only 1 game

If the "severed connection" so to speak between two players lasted forever, that could lead to problems, but I'm only suggesting for one game. Just the very next game.

Because if u queue with friends, there is huge chance to get matched against another premade. But if u report enough people, there is chance u will be in queue with friends against, but not matched against another premade. Also in higher tier where 0.04% and 0.02% of players are, they could abuse it heavily to affect matchmaking.

In "higher tier" (I.e. non bronze), premades are incredibly common and are matched against non-premades regularly.

So what's the difference? there is no reason for what OP is saying not to be implemented.

It's not a reasonable concern dominick. Never was. There's the SLIGHT possibility of it in diamond and above where there is a very limited number of people queuing. But it's simple. 5 Minutes. That's it. If you report someone and queue in the next 5 minutes. That person will not be on YOUR team. That's it. That's all that needs to happen. Single best addition to the gaming experience since MF's tits.
