Apology to the Community

%0.006 Percent to be Permanently Banned

I'm shocked. And really embarrassed. I know words have meaning, and often use competitive game-play to vent anger. Not to be hurtful or abusive, but to distract my my own reality. Understanding that words really do have meaning, I consider myself to be a very generous, kind and sensitive human being in my life outside of gaming. Please consider me writing this as a personal apology to anyone who may have been seriously offended by my behavior.

I'll admit I've been suspended for toxic behavior playing League of Legends. And can honestly admit to having achieved personal growth and reflection on some positive ban motives. Receiving an in-game chat suspension not only helped my personal game-play, but helped me to realize my negative comments and improve upon it in the future. Everyone has bad days, but I didn't truly realize my bad days are so much worse than everyone else in the League of Legends community.

I have literally spent years of my life and very much money for in-game content. A long time fan and supporter who literally spent $20USD on RP seconds before receiving a notice of permanent ban!

I understand this is a very very small percentage of people I fall into which makes this an apology more real though. I don't want to make any excuses for my actions and should take responsibility for it. I would however like to offer a possible less severe punishment for my behavior.

I'd even like to offer the League Community a solution and perhaps adequate less-severe punishment for my actions: I have been living in Mexico as a foreign national. I have previously lived in EUW and Oceanic regions prior and host accounts of multiple servers. I feel it would be an easy way out for me to simply return to those serves. But I would like to request to move my current NA account to the LATIN AMERICAN NORTH servers. I feel that the language barrier would not only challenge me to improve personally as well. I ask this out of fear of losing my account forever. This game and my personal achievements with it mean a lot to me. I would hope this is something Riot and the entire community would agree and perhaps consider fair.

Otherwise, %0.006 to be banned is perhaps a wake-up call for me as I perhaps deserved to be banished from a community I feel has been more of a home to me than anywhere else. Maybe I don't belong anywhere.

Unfortunately, there is no way to appeal or lessen any time of punishment received. Especially for negative behavior.

I do appreciate you owning your mistakes and being honest with yourself realizing you were a toxic player. That is hard for some to admit, so good job on that.

But, apologizing does not erase the fact that you ruined game for other players with your attitude. A punishment has to be received, and has to stick in order for anyone to learn their lesson, and hopefully never repeat that same behavior. If they made you a special case and gave you a less-severe punishment, what does that mean for every other player that comes to the boards to "appeal" their ban or receive lesser punishment? Riot can't do that, and they shouldn't. I hope you understand why.

You are still more than welcomed to create a new account and start over again :) You can even create an account on the other servers you suggested as a way to control yourself and perhaps improve further. But for your account that was banned, there is no bringing it back.

I wish you luck should you create a new account and start over again. The community is more than willing to welcome back someone who has truly reformed and wants to be a better person.

You don't have to apologize for being human. People get mad in competitive environments, and its the Internet. No other company would ban you for what you said.

Wanted to bump this. I have had months to really think about this and feel that everything I've said is more than common in the world of competitive gaming. While this suspension has been a true eye opener for me as a person, I don't feel that its justified as a LIFETIME ban on the account. There are some bad people out there that shouldn't be in this game. I'm not one of them. Please Riot, hear my plee!
