Leavebuster is Busted!

Honestly i'm always one for punishing afk players and early leavers, but only when they are going afk/leaving because they're either losing or just being toxic, but its quite annoying top get a 10 MINUTE COOL DOWN ON NON-RANKED MATCHMAKING just for having to go afk match start or leaving when you have no choice because of uncontrollable circumstances, its an automated system that doesn't take the human side of things into account, because it just cant, and i think players like this should at least be glanced at before they get this cool down, i also believe you shouldn't get stacking punishments even though said offenses are months apart, honestly its irritating for stuff like this to happen and your reasoning is not being accounted for. anyways thanks for reading, hopefully riot will have a look at this and at least toy with the idea of changing the buster a bit.

If you cant have 60 min of uninterrupted time ( away from, kids ,parents etc etc etc) maybe this is not the game for you . There are 4 other people you have to think of.

Not to mention that could be abused by trolls as we ll.

Just because it's not ranked doesn't mean you aren't ruining the game for nine other players by leaving.

There's enough leniency built into the system that AFKing for real emergencies isn't going to lead to punishment. I've dropped from a handful of games due to sudden hurricane warnings or other massive weather issues, requiring me to evacuate or simply knocking out the power. Never been in low-priority queue, though.

THOSE are uncontrollable circumstances. Not "My parents called me down for dinner" or "I needed to pick up my kid" or "I was late to class" or "my dog wanted to go on a walk". Those are things entirely within one's control.

There already is leniency built into the system.

You went afk, you got punished, twice. It sounds like the system is working as intended.

I've had to go afk a few times for various reasons, and haven't had any punishments. Sounds like you are going afk too many times, beyond "life happens".

The leaverbuster only punishes people who consistently leave the game. There are millions of players that have never been punished by it and never will. I think the leniency the leaverbuster gives is extremely well tuned.
