Unsuccessful in Completing Series?

I was in my last ranked game for promotion and was winning the game hard. Then, my PC decides to shut off in the middle of the game. I restart my PC, and come back to win that game. I was then greeted by a notification saying I was unsuccessful in completing my series. Even though my team mates understood the issue was out of my control and I was even honored that game, I still somehow "lost" my game because of that 4 minute afk. Thats not fair that players have to start up again at square one just because of something that happened that is out of a player's control over a 4 minute tech issue AFK as well (like in my case). I made this discussion to get some justice for the players trying to climb in rank only to have 1 technical issue ruin their series. There has gotta be a way to fix this problem as I can guarantee you more than half the players who are qualified as "AFK" in game have actually just had a tech issue that was out of their control but still got marked as a person who intentionally left the game. I hope you see this, Riot.

As much as I hate to say it, Riot's not going to change much at all. They are a pretty lazy and bad company, they will only change something if literally EVERY single high ranking player/streamer demands it.

I agree bro but it is always worth a shot. We may not be streamers or challenger tier but we've got a voice that should be heard.

Oh they see it, they just don't care. I mean a bug like that should've been fixed before Season 1. But they'll just argue it's apart of the game, everything is working as intended.

Couldn't agree more. I know they tend to disregard our concerns, but I am confident if this post gets enough upvotes, at least one of them has gotta listen to us

But how do you measure a reasonable time?

Someone leaves and comes back 10 minutes later "sorry tech problem." When they actually just raged.

Given that the player's team understands and believes the player and that the player didn't show any other reportable concerns, I would say 5 minutes. 5 minutes is a reasonable amount of time to sort out most minor tech issues one may have and if the player is performing well in the game and hasn't shown reportable actions before the actual AFK happens (such as bm or rage), then that player deserves their win.

Performing well is a matter of opinion and sometimes chance.

5 minutes might be reasonable time for tech issues, but it is also a grand time to troll. Granted yours factors more of "A Summoner has Disconnected" the timer shares with the not contributing timer; or perhaps better known as, moving in the base. Sure, you can make opposing timers, but they might reset eachother too.

I agree with your opinion. This is why I hope a Riot employee is able to see this thread and make a comment as to what could be done to fix this issue. A Riot employee I was talking to on a live chat support case actually told me he agreed with me as to this being a serious issue for a lot of players and told me to create a discussion in order for the devs to see it and that he would upvote the discussion. That shows that there are even people who work at Riot that see this as an ongoing issue and want to see change. That is why I think something can totally be done. Let's hope that a dev will see this thread now :)
