Why /all chat exists?

I've played a game today and i've realised that no one wrote anything in the chat and everyone focused on the game. This is a rare situation but it was so amazing. Everyone just gave their all to play the game and didn't care about the chat. And I wondered why does a chat exists between the opposite teams? Because I've never seen anyone to use the /all chat to do anything positive. This chat is only for flaming. Let's think about it, the game in terms of what you can use the /all chat that is positive and beneficent. I think this chat isn't usable and it shouldn't exist.

Because you can turn it off for yourself and stop trying to take take it away from those that do enjoy it?

The little while I played Heroes of the Storm, not being able to say "gg" to the enemy team bugged me to no end. I think that same experience is why I went digging for the all chat option in League way back when.

Personally, I've had quite a few instances where my lane opponents would start friendly banter, and it made that game so much more enjoyable. It can also be used (and has been) to help opponents learn what happened or what went wrong, particularly in custom games with new players. I've also seen it used to defend a player on the opposite team from being harassed by their teammates.

Chat is a tool. Used correctly, it makes the game a much better experience. We shouldn't remove it because of a few people who misuse it.

One out of a hundred games, I'll see someone say "nice ult Jinx" or something like that in all chat. But ya, if Im on tilt the first thing I do is turn off all chat

All Chat is fun actually. Sure, you get the arrogant c#cks who do nothing but flame and say "gg ez," but genuine teasing and playful poking at enemies makes the experience more fun. For instance, I was Kench bottom lane and told Taric in all chat that I wanted him inside me, it made both sides laugh and made the game goofy and lighthearted.

Some of the best times I've had in this damn game and the best memories from it were the results of talking in allchat; screwing around and, you know, having fun. That's a draw of this game, cause its certainly not its balance and competitive integrity.

Just because some people can't figure out a use for chat other than pathetic flaming doesn't mean there's a problem with it. Someone wrote something rude? So what?, that's people. You probably shouldn't be interacting with others if you can't handle people.
