Why does Riot not do more to ban trolls?

4 games in a row I lose because of trolls on my team. I never thought they were a big problem until this but Diamond 5 elo is full of trolls. How does riot not deal with these people?

Edit: And to clarify these arent just players feeding that i call trolls. They are full blown trolls who int.

Riot thrives off toxicity. Even if it's negative attention, Riot is so greedy they just want people to notice their game no matter the means.

Now bring on my downvotes even though ya'll know it's true.

Because saying a couple bad words and hurting the feelings of others is more important to punish in riots eyes. On top of that it is easier to catch bad words ban people so they make more accounts and in turn riot makes more money. riot will never worry about trolls because it would cost too much to find them and punish them. riot would rather make money banning bad words then actually making their game enjoyable and not some crapfest 0 balance game with only 20 playable champions in ranked out of the 120.

Because it's hard to detect trolling in an automated system.

I mean, considering on the FAQ "Suspensions due to the Instant Feedback System will not be lifted or shortened under any circumstance." proves enough they're a lazy company.

i truly do doubt you getting 4 different people running it down mid 4 games in a row.

Maybe they just suck.

Because they're unwilling to put millions of dollars in resources to stop people from trolling often. Even if they did, there would still be trolls. It's not really something you can get rid of in any game. There's always an opportunity to troll. Though, in my opinion, they could and should try a little harder. I think they've done enough on the toxicity front, and it's time to focus on trolls and griefers.

There's nothing to lose in this game. League is a free game, and there's no incentive to be nice to people in this game, but there IS great incentive (and a lot of it too) to be a jerk to everyone, especially since it's competitive. Because of these factors, this is why the majority of the community is seen as toxic not just others within the community itself, but by many who aren't part of this community (it also doesn't help that there are popular streamers and popular channels on Youtube who also ring the same bell).

It would actually take some effort.
