[SUGGESTION] /remake: A passionate advice to improve that feature
League of Legends is a TEAM MULTIPLAYER GAME. Your loss or your victory depends on how well the team cooperates, regardless your ability in carrying games. I always try to improve as player but even if I've done only a few ranked matches I already see why many players complain about some experiences. /remake is an excellent first step to improve ranked experience for LoL players but it already needs some fixing. Calling back to my first sentence, Lol is a TEAM GAME. /remake allow you to not loose any LP if one or more players in the match remain afk in the first 90 sec and if there is no First Blood. I think this is absolutely legit and an excellent idea from Riot developers...
...BUT...
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THOSE 90 SECONDS? EXAMPLE: (personal experience) your toplaner goes afk at minute 8 (with screen message from the game) and comes back at minute 18. RESULT? enemy toplaner obviously start roaming other lanes giving many easy kills to his team due to superior numbers, and when your toplaner comes back after 10 minutes afk it's already too late.
I Repeat Lol is a Team game and everyone in the team is necessary to the victory. But is it also necessary to punish a loosing team on these conditions due to only one afk after those 90 sec where the /remake is possible?
I am a very recent player and very far to be a good one but I feel very upset when a ranked goes bad when this happens, and it really makes me feel not able to do anything to save a game like this. Even if I try my best to cooperate with the other 3 team members the 4 vs 5 feels 99.9% an unstoppable loss. It also makes me feel restrained about joining new ranked matches with the thought that this could happen again even if me or another team member will play very good.
So to end this thought I would like to suggest LoL developers a simple way to improve the /remake system, even maybe it could be completely wrong.
When a player in a team goes afk after the 90 sec for a significative amount of time, regardless if the loosing team surrends or just simply loose the game due to superior enemy numbers, PUNISH ONLY THE AFK PLAYER. The winning team should gain their LP, because they have no fault at all and they played as usual. Team members of the afk player, if they loose the game, should not loose LP because they continued to play AS A TEAM (as the GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED) until the end, trying to compensate at best for their inferior numbers. That should be praised, but i believe that at least not being punished should be a sufficient relief in those situations, allowing them not to loose any LP.
Resuming: AFK PLAYER AFTER 90 SEC IN ANY MOMENT OF THE MATCH FOR A SIGNIFICANT TIME MAKES HIS TEAM LOSE? IF HIS TEAM LOSES, PUNISH ONLY HIM, ALLOW TEAM MEMBERS TO KEEP THEYR LP. IF HIS TEAM WINS, GIVE LP ONLY TO THE TEAM MEMBERS (DUE TO THEYR TEAMPLAY EFFORTS).
I think this change should improve players experience under these conditions, it should also incite them to continue to do ranked matches with a more positive state of mind.
