Permabanned, any thoughts? ^^

So to start it off with, I got permabanned from League of Legends for being simply put, a toxic piece of shit. So let's check out how Riot's support tickets work in order to SUPPORT the player. I wrote KYS which I meant as ''Keep your salt/Keep your saltiness'' But Riot won't look in the game to see that it's taken out of context and just permabanned me.

Heres the conversation after I got in touch with a support ''Specialist'' I hid the name since yeah why not. To make things easier I just write 1 for the supporter and 2 for me.

After that, the supporter ended the conversation. Is this called fairness? I haven't been doing any real flaming since then, but I've used the term ''Kys'' in a lot of games to toxic people but this is the first time I got punished for it? So I just kept writing it to toxic people and I didn't see any people being mad at me for writing it so I really thought people knew it was ''Keep your saltiness'' But oh boy was I wrong. After a flamer kept on raging at our team for all reasons possible this is how the chat looked from MY writing perspective only. Chatlog: EasyDieEasyPie: u ok? EasyDieEasyPie: report urgot EasyDieEasyPie: rank kata? EasyDieEasyPie: kys EasyDieEasyPie: kys EasyDieEasyPie: kys EasyDieEasyPie: kys EasyDieEasyPie: kys EasyDieEasyPie: kys EasyDieEasyPie: ask yourself EasyDieEasyPie: didnt see EasyDieEasyPie: ;) EasyDieEasyPie: didnt see EasyDieEasyPie: np EasyDieEasyPie: UrTrash EasyDieEasyPie: Ur trash EasyDieEasyPie: urgot saved zilean EasyDieEasyPie: report EasyDieEasyPie: ll EasyDieEasyPie: Kat you fed me like hell why talk EasyDieEasyPie: I hit 100% Q's on you EasyDieEasyPie: lul EasyDieEasyPie: xd EasyDieEasyPie: Oh yea I still hit 100% hooks EasyDieEasyPie: 5-13 EasyDieEasyPie: If I played a one of my mains I would prob be done winning already EasyDieEasyPie: I gave you a chanc e EasyDieEasyPie: and took blitz EasyDieEasyPie: see your adc EasyDieEasyPie: see our adc EasyDieEasyPie: does not make her build shit EasyDieEasyPie: kata you are bad EasyDieEasyPie: idk if you dont know it EasyDieEasyPie: 15 deaths and a dream EasyDieEasyPie: Kata whats your rank? Silver 1? EasyDieEasyPie: 18 deaths and a dream

So the most toxic thing in this game would be when I said Kata was really bad but is that considered flaming? I guess I take the chat log from the start. First few mins of the game Urgot got mad at our jungler, where I asked if he was okay, he began to flame on me as well and I said report urgot. The game went on for like 10 mins. I then asked Katarina's rank, cause she was feeding/having a bad game. Urgot then bursts out into flames when he got ganked by their jungler, and every time he wrote something I replied with ''Keep your saltiness'' This kept going for good 5 mins. He then asked why I was so bad so I replied with ask yourself. Then Urgot got ganked close to my lane (I played mid lane) He asked me why I was blind and spammed pings in my face. The last really toxic thing was when I wrote ''UrTrash/Ur Trash'' This began when Urgot wrote ''Bitchcrank'' to me, so I wrote ''UrTrash'' The rest is kinda kata flaming her own team when she is like 3-18 or something close to that.

So, in all fairness, is this enough for a permaban or wouldn't a warning be enough? If I got a warning that the word ''Kys'' is not acceptable by any means I would never have used the shortened sentence? Wouldn't it be better as they say to ''Educate'' players as they call it when they permaban people? Why wouldn't they listen to me at all, is it because you can't get a wrongful permaban revoked? (Maybe not a wrong mute idk how toxic you need to be for that?) Whats your thoughts on it? Oh and if you are wondering if the other flamers in that game got banned, I can tell you nope they did not.

The game stats: https://gyazo.com/6eb0f2bb407e38844fd6c0cc3718d900

So the open question for all forums readers, is it fair to get banned for a word you used out of context and because of a misunderstanding? I do not really wan't to ''Cheese'' it and say anything thats not important like my hours, money spent bla bla. But any thoughts? What would you do if you had this problem?

You know damn well what you used it to mean.

It is not bad customer support to leave you banned. In fact, it’s great customer support towards the rest of us.

A quick google search reveals basically NOTHING gaming related about the search term "Keep your salt." You may personally use it that way, but that's kind of like saying "I use this piece of hate speech to mean I think you are an exceptional person and I'd like to give you a big hug" -- i.e. not an acceptable usage.

Can I ask where this term came from? Given that I can't find ANY information on that context for this abbreviation other than this thread, it seems a bit unbelievable to thing that you'd somehow expect someone to know what that abbreviation means. Sort of like if I assumed people would know USA stands for Umbrella Science Association.

Nobody in this world ever is going to believe you.

Even with that being said, unless you have been living under a rock, you KNOW what that term actually means, which means you have been deliberatedly ignoring it while claiming to be saying something else.

And even without spouting these terms, you are extremely antagonistic towards the other players, so there's that.

Thoughts? You deserve the ban, I am glad you are banned, your excuse is laughable and unoriginal.

1st of all before we read any further. stop lying to everyone. no one says "kys" as keep your salt, and you know this.

The way you said you used it wouldn't even work with what you said as an entirety.

I don't really get why people even discuss with this guy about "how do you think kys mean this or that".

He dont. It's very common that children like to go back and try to convince people they didn't said this or that.

Also just a children would not realize that your meaning to a word have 0 importance over the meaning to other people. Anyone can google kys and know what this means to everyone.

Bottom line is that people waste too much time talking about that kid clearly shitty excuse to wish people to kill themselves.

I got permabanned from League of Legends for being simply put, a toxic piece of shit.

I don't see a problem.

I wrote KYS which I meant as ''Keep your salt/Keep your saltiness'' But Riot won't look in the game to see that it's taken out of context and just permabanned me.

You see it that way, Others don't.

Is this called fairness?

Yes.

I've used the term ''Kys'' in a lot of games to toxic people but this is the first time I got punished for it?

Why wouldn't you get punished for it?

So I just kept writing it to toxic people and I didn't see any people being mad at me for writing it so I really thought people knew it was ''Keep your saltiness'' But oh boy was I wrong.

Don't lie. Everyone knows it means "kill yourself" not "keep your saltiness" Who told you it means that?

After a flamer kept on raging at our team for all reasons possible this is how the chat looked from MY writing perspective only.

Because everyone's for themselves. Others behaving incorrectly doesn't give you a free pass to do whatever you want.

So the most toxic thing in this game would be when I said Kata was really bad but is that considered flaming?

100% Yes. I'd mute you since the 2nd msg where you asked for reports on urgot if I were with you in a game.

So, in all fairness, is this enough for a permaban or wouldn't a warning be enough?

I'd say it's fair enough for a permaban. If not then a warning, a 14-day ban one.

Whats your thoughts on it?

Deserved.

Keep your salt? Really? Come on man.

EvilDustMan9/1/2017, 5:58:30 PM2 votes

You know what you did, own up to it.

Primaquarius9/1/2017, 6:13:03 PM2 votes

Oh look, half a dozen lines of KYS

Ban deserved

TheDesoIation9/1/2017, 3:54:46 PM1 votes

You wrote kys thats an instant ban if you get reported i just experienced that 2 weeks ago just got unbanned today

EasyDieEasyPie9/1/2017, 4:22:27 PM1 votes

Since all the 10-year-olds found the post and are busy taking down a banned person so they can feel better, the question is not if I should be unbanned or not I could care less since Riot support is trash, and if you get banned it's too bad whatever you do you will not be unbanned. The real question is this:

So the open question for all forums readers, is it fair to get banned for a word you used out of context and because of a misunderstanding? I do not really want to ''Cheese'' it and say anything that's not important like my hours, money spent bla bla. But any thoughts? What would you do if you had this problem?

I know its funny cause you aren't banned but I hope for all of you who thinks it's impossible that this is what happened, that you have fun if it happens to you.
