I was banned, Lyte please help
Greetings, PhosBringer here I'm just gonna get straight to the point and try to provide as much insight as I can to the problem so I can finally Rest In Peace if I was legitimately banned or try and win back my freedom if this is considered a mistake.
As a point of reference prior to this I had a 10-Game chat restriction (First Offense) I looked for the notification of it in my email to give the exact date but it is deleted/never received.
I will leave links to screenshots I have taken if necessary for validation purposes
I was banned February 1st, 2016. I discovered this as I logged on. The ban said it was indefinite so I assumed I must have been extremely toxic to warrant this, but I don't recall ever being so toxic as to make me eligible for permanent suspension of my account. I am aware that this is what everyone says but hear me out. I logged into my email and I received a message stating I was banned until the 22nd (3 week ban) with the code 2828 (Which I now know to be the code for negative behavior) and links to the Terms of Use and the Player Support. However I received no reform card (It's gives you a chat log of a game in which your were reported for toxicity) and that's where I started to question the validity of the ban.
I immediately decided to submit a ticket so I could get to the bottom of what I was concerned was an illegitimate ban. So I submitted a ticket and provided information as it came to me, trying to remember the game that could have possibly escalated me from a Tier 1 offensive to a Tier 4.
I received an update on February 3rd from a Rioter named Energia, that stated the response to my ticket may take longer to acquire an answer to because I bumped my ticket (I didn't know I could bump the ticket, I was just trying to provide more information that I missed in original ticket), so I had hope that at least a rioter would take a look at my case instead of being discarded.
My next and final response was from a Rioter named Moonsugar. The message she left was as follows;
Hey Summoner,
Moonsugar here - I do apologize for any confusion. The account initially received restrictions due to some consistent negative chat in the game. However, a manual review of the account revealed more egregious behaviors such as intentionally feeding, trolling, and griefing other players. Below is an excerpt from one of your recent games as Annie, where it's apparent your actions are to antagonize your team. This is the same kind of behavior displayed in multiple other games, where you immediately get into the game and declare that mid is open to the opponents. What follows is generally feeding, insults, or other antagonistic behaviors towards your team. This has no purpose other than to ruin games for other people and it won't be tolerated in League of Legends.
Initially this statement looks damning right? However this is the evidence of one of my more recent games as Annie in which I exhibited the above behaviors stated. I will also leave comments to clarify anything as well as preventing it from being taken out of context.

With these set of messages, I intended not to open mid and let the enemy push down, but to try and set up a bait in which all 5 of the enemies would overextend mid to kill me while my team came to kill them after they wasted abilities and were scattered. This is evidenced clearly when I proceed to tell the enemy that mid is open, when they come I try and rally my team to come mid and kill them. I tell them that I am a freebie and to push mid because we're IP farming (The event was over when this happened) the span is over the course of a minute because the enemy was half convinced I was opening mid so I was trying to bait them into overextending. When I say just kidding get rused (Ruse an action intended to deceive someone; a trick.) I intended to tell them it was all a trick. Just kidding get tricked. I suppose that last statement could be considered toxic, but I never ever intended for the enemy get a free win and push mid as I told my team to come and gank, and it certainly didn't look so if you read the chat logs carefully.

I said this after I was about to die to the opposing shyvana while alistar roamed into my lane. He let me die (Unless he had slow reactions) and then killed shyvana. I typed alistar in all caps because it was a pretty giddy moment, the tingly kind where you can almost make it out of a situation you should be dead in and you almost make it out and then at the last second something surprises you and all that's said is a shout and laughter. I also say "I got trolled gg" because it really seemed like Alistar let me die, this is also a phrase I use an awful lot when I ever do decide to use chat. You can compare it to someone saying "Hello? Team?" after he/she dies overextended or in a hype-y play. It's not something to be considered negatively.
-
As I mentioned previously I say variations of troll a lot (I'm trundle IRL) and this is one of a couple other examples, I believe this one was when I was in the mid-lane trying to position myself to all-in Riven and kill her but Shyvana stopped me by coming mid 2-3 different times from different ways. Again not something to be considered negative at all.

Another example of me telling the enemy team that I've noticed their trolling, and it was a "nice" one. (See bullets 2 and 3)

Gray Face no space. For those of you not familiar with twitch this is an icon. Kappa is generally used to indicate "Joking, trolling, sarcasm, etc." it's used so often that people don't even confine it to twitch anymore. (My being one of those people) Nothing inherently negative about this statement, but perhaps a little more mischievous than saying "trolled". As to whether this was from a play I made or the enemy made I don't particularly remember. Although I did have 8 deaths (And 10 kills too, for those of you who want to take that information out of context and say I intentionally fed) that game so it is possible that I was referring to something dumb I did.
-
Also similar to me dropping a Kappa or a Trolled. (See above)

I know Lyte's standpoint on this statement and any and all of it's multifaceted variations, and it is the only undeniably negative thing I said to the enemy. However even in the wrong here, I just can't help but to clarify why I said this and provide defense for myself and while simultaneously providing a point against myself. I said this while we were losing, so don't think I was trying to tell the enemy that they were just cannon fodder for me, because they were good. I typed this because Akali killed one of my team members in two or three hits, and then said "ez" in all chat. It was her first kill of the game mind you, so I was like "Hey you can't talk to my teammate like that!" So while she's pushing the bot turret I use Annie combo and kill her, to which I responded "ez". But I digress, this is no way to act in the situation because you don't right a wrong by committing another wrong .
And that's that.
So I reply back to Riot Moonsugar confused as to how this was evidence of me antagonizing my team. And how this was just one of my many "toxic" games that warranted my account to be discontinued. I have yet to receive a response.
I do notice one thing though, a thing that I might have overlooked if I weren't so panicked as to why my account was banned. Moonsugar said; "This is the same kind of behavior displayed in multiple other games, where you immediately get into the game and declare that mid is open to the opponents."
I immediately thought back to party-up weekend (both times). Where I joined a group called FeedingLFG and during most of the first Party-Up dynamic queue event a 5 man pre-made group myself included where we'd let the enemy push down mid and end after 7minutes to get quick IP. I also partook in the same activity during the second iteration of party-up but for about 1/3 of the duration of the boost. (This was always from the FeedingLFG, and always with a 5 man pre-made group).
So I panicked. I was assured that I wouldn't get banned for this if it was something that the enemy didn't care about and your team all agreed to it. (Which was yes to both scenarios). Now you may be thinking what if the enemy DID care? My response is, I did some extensive studying, to the best of my abilities. What I found is this; With the new reporting system, if you were to get reported for intentional feeding and the system detected you did this you would be banned within 5-15 minutes within the game ending and the report being filed. However I was never banned, and I certainly feed the enemy intentionally with the intent of them ending after 7 minutes. (I'm talking about 7+ deaths where I just go mid and die). So I assumed that I was in the clear after the event ended and my account was still safe and sound.
You also may be wondering "So what he did some research and found out if he didn't get reported he'd be all good, but who is he to think that Riot would allow people to feed as 5 man pre-made's and farm LP" To that question I'd answer, Riot Lyte. It was his statements that I found on ask.fm concerning IP farming that was enough to convince me that as long as the enemy had no qualms and my team was down it was A ok.
These two posts where the one's that I have referenced.
Q: Does riot ban these players who group up as 5, take teleport and smite, give double pentakill to mid lvl 1 and then afk in jungle while enemy team wins in 7 min? ( people do it because of the bonus ip weekend) _A: We'll be taking a look at all intentional feeding situations and handing out permanent bans if they are ruining gameplay experiences for players who do NOT want to be involved in this. _
Q: About the farming IP situation, are you talking about when the ENEMY does not want to be involved in the easy win, or are you talking about when someone on YOUR team doesn't want to feed? A: We're looking into the experiences, and if SOMEONE on your team or the enemy team is against these behaviors and hasn't agreed to it, that's the problem experience.
In conjunction with these two statements from Riot Lyte I have these statements from the Riot Support Center.
** CAN I VIEW MY PREVIOUS SUSPENSION REFORM CARDS?** Whenever a player is punished by the instant feedback system, they will also be emailed a copy of their reform card as well.
** HOW DO PUNISHMENTS WORK?** Players who are found to be causing a negative game experience are then punished within 15 minutes of the games end.
Bearing these statements in mind, you can successful establish that I was not reported by any other player for intentionally feeding during a farming game, but rather as the Rioter was handling my case that popped up, they reviewed my chat logs, saw that I declared open mid to the enemies (Usually a FeedingLFG group has an unofficial spokesman who does the talking to make sure the whole thing goes smoothly and that no one is irritated because in those scenarios the only losers are the IP farmers) and made haste to ban me with all the overwhelming evidence of me declaring open mid.
I know I may have forgotten many things though, and have not clarified enough on certain statements, but I will happily clarify as needed.
@RiotLyte if you see some toxicity in my chat logs that would warrant a jump from a T1 punishment to a T4 then by all means
smite the hell out of me.
Sincerely, Phosbringer a concerned player
