afk in ranked

I have had multiple people leave in ranked games now, just last game heyiamshane left about 18 mins in to hang out with GF. Every time i report, I never get any feedback, is there any way of knowing if these people are actually being punished. I feel like this happens a lot with no consequence. Especially in ranked where it should, and if you know you have less then 20 mins why even join a game let alone a ranked game. Is the community ever thought of better ways to stop intentional feeding or leaving games?

i would really like to hear the communities ideas for this. I don't just want to vent by this post but start a serious discussion with ideas people have had to alleviate some of the work on leagues support team to punish these people and actually helping the community by getting rid of toxicity and afkers.

I just had far, far worse.

And for the past week, I've had a game almost every night where someone would leave the same solely because he was tilted.

I've had people AFK and straight out leave the game because they didn't care or were upset at what someone in the team said.

Regardless of the toxicity in game, which in LoL is quite high, you do not have a good excuse to leave a game except for a personal emergency.

Leaving because of behavior, tantrums, or poor planning on your part is not acceptable.

IMHO, toxicity, afk, and intentional feeding in low elo has gotten out of hand. It's gotten to the point where its hard even for a decent players to get out of the cesspool that is silver and bronze.
