Is this chat restriction worthy? Lost rewards from someone else inting

I just had an annoying game. I was just chat restricted and reduces to honor level 1 for complaining about another person inting. He clearly ran it down mid about 9 times in the middle of the game. While he said in chat he wasn't inting, he absolutely was, he would just run straight into their turrets and die to multiple fed people alone. He did this in the beginning and the end of the game. I have been making an effort to not insult anyone personally, or use any harsh language in games, as to make sure I don't lose honor. The game previous to this game I received a key fragment and a "GG Friendly, 60% of people liked playing with you".

I will admit we were getting camped hard and I was frustrated in the beginning of the game and sorely wanted a gank. I did say "gg boys" once as a joke because I got manhandled so hard by Blitz, Warwick and Draven on a gank, I know that can be perceived as tilting and I shouldn't have said it, but I was honestly just joking because I died in a split second.

Keep in mind my chat restriction only listed this single game as the reason I was restricted and lost rewards:

Its pretty frustrating I lost rewards while someone else clearly inted. The team was even complaining about our top lane doing bad and I said I'd rather have him playing than the mid laner inting. I never used anything racist, any foul language, anything homophobic or personal insults like I see on league all the time.

Ill take the Reward loss and chat restriction but this seems ludicrous based on what I said, and what the guy did who ended 3/15(he played in the beginning, inted in the middle, and played again at the end).

I understand I was not super positive, and frustrated by getting camped, but really don't think its worth losing my season rewards. This game getting pretty rough to like these days.

Calling someone out for inting is kind of a no win situation. Either the player is having a bad game (or out of their depth) and you risk a harassment punishment, or they are inting and reacting just validates their behavior. And some of them want to take as many other players down as they can before getting banned.

Thats alot of chat for one 30 min game. Next time just mute. When a teammate goes off like that, constantly typing, it not only distracts you but its distracts and tilts your teammates too.

No. You didn't lose rewards from someone inting. Losing rewards from someone inting would be you being demoted back into bronze because someone inted when you were s5 at 0LP.

What you did lose rewards to was harassing them repeatedly.

It's been said dozens of times: Don't retaliate. Retaliation only leads to you being punished as well. Note that actually defending yourself - which in no way, shape, or form means to harass, insult, belittle, or mock them, but means SOLELY to refute their claims ("No, I'm not inting. What would possibly give you that idea?" is defending yourself. "Lel fuck off you troll you're the one inting" is not defending yourself, that is retaliating) - is not punished, only retaliating is. If they're inting/trolling/flaming, just mute them, take a deep breath, and look for a way to end the game quickly that won't get you punished.

tl;dr: Don't fight the troll by inting/flaming/trolling as well, that just gets you punished. Take a deep breath and let the IFS and Riot handle it - it's their job, after all.

I mean I guess it could be considered harassment (cuz it was a lot of chat regarding one player and not positively). But I’d submit a support ticket in this instance. This isn’t ur first penalty is it? Prbly might’ve been punished cuz the system does technically stack with increasing penalties

I'm assuming you mean end of season rewards? You haven't lost those yet, if you can get to honor2 before the season ends, you'll get those end of season rewards.

If you are referring to hextech chests and keys, you still get them at h1. Just at a slower rate.

Ill also mention, the inter added me as a friend to tell me "Fuck you pussy enjoy your ban" after the game lol, nice icing on the cake. Guess it pays to grief and troll as long as you don't say you are.

Look dude, you posted on here asking if this was worthy of a chat ban. We've pointed out to you that you maybe excessively went in on chat to call this guy out and maybe that's why riot chose to chat ban you. I know thats probably not why you posted, and you were hoping that you would have alot of support. But alas, that is not the case. I know its not always fun to have a certain way, and have lots of people disagree with you, but take it as a time to reflect and change your ways. As i said since my first comment on this thread, going that hard in caht and constantly typing is distracting you, and your teammates, throwing all of you off your game and is an easy way to tilt people. Just refrain from retaliating. Thats the point here. Good luck.

I don't think the automatic IFS takes context into consideration, but its weird that you got abnend after 1 game.
