Okay, so we all (or well, most of us) know about op.gg and we all know it's fine to use it since it only uses data provided by Riot by using the provided API.

However, I can remember that a few years ago overwolf got excluded from the progams that are allowed to use in league. As I'm using op.gg constantly to track my own stats - and several League YouTubers I watch get sponsored by op.gg to advertise overwolf - I wonder if I'm allowed to install it and use the overwolf client/overlay.

After all, all it does is taking the data provided by Riot and showing int in an ingame display - it doesn't make you hit more skillshots or dodge more abilities nor does it alter the game itself in any way.

So, is overwolf powered by op.gg fine to use ?

// would be nice to hear from a wrenchman or riot employee themselves, as several discussions about this topic I've read before had completly mixed awnsers only provided by other "normal" summoners.

isnt OP.GG just a website? i doubt you can get in trouble for that. Overwolf im not sure. I mean its just an overlay but considering the controversy with Destiny 2, it might be safer to not use it
