Verbal Harassment

Making this discussion to hear from other players who have been verbally harassed by other players without just cause, and of course couldn't do a damn thing about it. Reporting a player feels like me knocking on that persons door and telling them to stop harassing me, because if they don't want to, they won't. It doesn't seem like the report system is really working from my perspective, I know of only one person who has any kind of ban/restriction on their account and all that does it restrict the player to harassing players at a maximum of 5 times per game rather than infinite. And once that game is over, the post game lobby is a nightmare. Just slurs and name calling getting thrown around as if people don't have feelings at all. Now I'm not saying that if someone is rude to you, its not okay to be upset and want to retaliate in kind, however nobody can have an infinite tolerance for such behavior and shouldn't have to. A perfect example is someone I just ended a match with, he spent the game harassing me both in-game and in the post game lobby and I know full well that a single report or even 9 reports will get him nothing more than a simple reminder from riot to keep his behavior in check, as if he would ever have to do that. Where is the justice? Why bother having a report system which only serves to act as a nuisance to toxic players? When can the players actually take some control of the community? With things the way they are and have been, I don't think I want to be a part of such a harsh and toxic community any longer. I've put tons of money and time into league and I love the game itself, but if playing it means I have to deal with being harassed and cursed out for 45 minutes where if I retaliate in any way I will also be reported without cause, I don't want to deal with that anymore. Please riot, get some more people on the tribunal on your side and get to work on removing toxic players.
