Perma Suspension

So I got hit with a permanent suspension this morning, and damn its been pretty rough since. It was for 3rd party programs and I was feel like its unfair for it to be a permanent suspension. I use Championify in every game but I dont see how that gives me an advantage over oether players, its just me buying items. Being curious about the elo buddy craze, I tested it in one custom game a while back just for the sake of curiousty and never have I once used scripts in a real game. Its been a week or two since I tried out elo buddy in a custom with only me, and I got hit with a ban this morning. Anyone seeing this forum think I have a chance at getting this permanent suspension lifted? I haven't received any previous bans or suspensions or warnings even, and to be permanently suspended out of the blue when I didnt even use scripts in a real game, or knew using Championify was bannable seems pretty harsh to me. Can any reading this forum get the attention of a rioter? or at least let me know if I have a chance at getting my account back. Playing this game is one of my escapes from everyday frustrations and the problems I have in life, and I've poured my blood, sweat, and tears into this account all for it to be permanently suspended over a custom game where I was just curious about scripts. Never once have I been accused of scripting by enemy players, I have both my wins and losses, and epic fails.

It wasn't Championify that resulted in the ban, it was definitely the scripts; you'll get banned for it being on your client whether it's used in a Ranked match or Practice Mode. I highly advise not trying scripts for any reason.

But the permanent suspensions is so severe given I just tested it out of curiosity in practice mode. Can I somehow get a temporary suspension or ban?? I just earned mastery level 5 on lux last night and I got the elementalist lux skin.

For some things it's best to find other ways to satisfy your curiosity. Plenty of people make YouTube videos showcasing scripts (to show how efficient scripts are or to inform people how to spot them), there's no need to install them on your own.

I don't necessarily agree with it, I can understand the urge to try out a cheat where it won't harm anyone, but Riot's policies are strict but fair. Suppose they can't necessarily tell which match you used it in, but only that it was installed in your client (this isn't necessarily how it's done)? They would have to action on the flag regardless of whether it was abused or not.

I can only recommend submitting a Support Ticket, but I won't try to claim that you have a good chance of successfully appealing the punishment.

But in the email it said: "Your account: dynastation was banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client. We believe that all players should play on equal footing in an effort to promote competitive sportsmanship." Now I don't disagree with the fact that all players should play on equal footing, as I myself have reported people who I thought were scripting. But doesn't the fact that I out of curiosity looked as scripts once in a custom, therefore it's not as if I was using it against people in a real live match. It's not like I continued to use them, checking my match history, I was a noob both before and after that custom game where I tested scripts, and I find that given that evidence it shows I've never used scripts in a real game. This whole deal just has me frustrated the whole day, playing League is the one of the few good things I have in my life and I've worked so hard on my account, all for it to be taken away permanently when I didn't do anything that negatively affected other players.

To my knowledge this is the standard scripting message format, rather than a full statement on the only reasons Riot doesn't allow scripts.

A better idea of why this violates the rules is that it's in direct violation of the Terms of Use [source on this excerpt]:

The following are examples of behavior that warrant disciplinary measures:

ix. Using any unauthorized third party programs, including mods, hacks, cheats, scripts, bots, trainers and automation programs that interact with the Software in any way, for any purpose, including any unauthorized third party programs that intercept, emulate, or redirect any communication between the Software and Riot Games and any unauthorized third party programs that collect information about the Game by reading areas of memory used by the Software to store information;

So, unfortunately, ANY use of a scripting program -- even just once in a custom game, just to test it out -- is forbidden by the Terms of Use. It's something Riot takes very seriously. Whether or not you or I agree with that stance is, ultimately immaterial to the situation at hand.

I'll second Deep Terror Nami's suggestion that your only recourse here is to try a support ticket, but, like he said, I would not get your hopes up. Their policy that this isn't allowed is pretty clearly laid out.

Moreover, I thought of this as a reason why I shouldn't get perma banned. I googled some videos, and found ones like "1 Challenger versus 5 Bronze Scripters" etc, and I googled their Summoner names and they're still active. Clearly those players only did it in a custom and not in a real game like me, and they weren't banned, so why should I be banned?
