Just got a random 14 day suspended without any prior offense. Do Riot moderators just generally have itchy trigger fingers? I haven't even ever received any chat restrictions prior to this or any suspension/punishment. Please explain this erratic abuse of power

This is actually pretty absurd considering I have never been reported prior to this and this is only my first offense. I don't quite understand how in my case I warranted a 2 week suspension instead of the general chat restriction for a few games.

According to the Red in this thread, this was the nicest chat log in the report, and it wasn't that nice. Can you imagine being in that match? Worse still, could you imagine being the target of that? He tilted his own team (and likely lost) for no other reason than he's an infant.
Now multiply just this chat across a handful of games and ask how many people's match (and sometimes night if they got tilted enough to quit) he single-handedly ruined. So was it that bad? No, probably not in isolation (depending on how you personally view the insult "retard"), but given that he's probably not even that polite, and he's almost certainly does this on the regular, yeah... 14 days and good riddance.

The whole point of the report/ban system is to keep rude, unpleasant and obnoxious behavior at a minimum. Nobody's an angel, but calling someone retarded in game should be ban. There's literally no reason or excuse for it.

Obviously that game did not cause your penalty, or you would have been penalized after it. It was all the game combined.

Another thing... I have not seen a case where Riot shows you post-game chat on your report card, you didn't happen to add those yourself did you? Unless there has been an update to show abusive post-game chat.
comedybingbongs2 votesNA is considered a non competitive "for fun" region. So we have the most strict chat rules. Best thing you can do is mute all at the start of the game and press "escape" after typing out a long criticism of a teammate instead of enter
