How do reporting work?

I was just in a game where a person intentionally fed. He was my support and he was playing bard. After dying 2 times and it was fairly stupidly mind you, the top Laner (Irelia) tells our jungler (Wukong) to gank for my lane instead and help the feeding "bard". Bard then decided that he needed to show that he was bad like Irelia was implying. He left the lane and started to collect chimes. At first I thought he was just collecting chimes, and when I asked him to go back in lane he responds with "I don't know how." He then ran level 4 straight into Leblanc level 6 and Warwick level 6 of the opposing team and baits our mid laner and died. It was clear apparent from then on he started to just keep saying "Look at me, I am just bad like Irelia is saying, I am not trolling." After feeding really hard, he then asked Irelia to apologize to him so he will try again. I told Irelia to not apologize and ignore him. We lost the game. We asked the opponent to help us report him. The opponent didn't give 2 cents about what happened and said they weren't going to report. My duo and I reported him but I am not quite sure if others did. I waited and I waited for a message that he was punished but nothing. I am terribly upset that a person like that could lose me points because he griefed. To make it worst I know he didn't get punished. What can I do?

How do report works? Is my game in review?

Reports do not lead directly to punishment. They lead to a review of the match for the player being reported. 9 reports are no different than 1 report, it just flags the match for review.

You don't need to ask anyone else to help report. Your report alone is enough to flag the game for review. Asking for reports just causes the accused to tilt harder.

Because of this, report begging is considered toxic. Don't ask others for reports, and don't announce your intent to report. Same goes for muting. No need to tell anyone, just do it.

Seems like you could have googled that yourself, to be honest.
