False MMR Boosting ban, Has this happened to anyone else?

I recently logged in to this account and found that it had been suspended for "MMR boosting" for two weeks. Confused, I sent a ticket to Riot support inquiring about the situation. I got the usual bot reply, before a Rioter responded today saying "there doesn't appear to be any error on our part here."

The account is a smurf account, one that is used very infrequently. I'll usually use it when I dodge a queue for what ever reason on my main account. The same account has never left silver, and has stayed within a few divisions throughout the entire season.

I have moved a few times this last year, but Riot claims that their methods of detecting MMR boosting do not incorporate IP changes. My main account is within one division of my smurf account, and I listed the account for Riot support. I personally think it is hilarious that this account got suspended for MMR boosting when it was never in a position to receive end of season rewards. The account has gone through win streaks and loss streaks, but that is something that happens to all of us. Riot claims their methods are 100% accurate but I know for a fact that in this case they are inaccurate. Has anyone else been suspended for MMR boosting despite not boosting?

Lol, your match history goes all the way back to 11/2/2014. I find it hilarious that anything in that history gave rito evidence of MMR boosting. To be honest, if you did MMR boost, you literally had the worst booster of all time.

Only thing I can think of is if you were duoing with someone that MMR boosting. Which they said is punishable, but I don't agree with. If I duo with someone, how am I to know they were boosting? But who knows...I just hate how they give 0 info on this type of thing. At least with chat bans, people can post their logs to defend their "I didn't deserve it claim". With MMR boosting, it's "lel we say you are so tough luck".

The links you show only show your ranked stats, when even normals mmr is included in boosting. As for your rank alone, I see no discrepancies. Have you submitted a support ticket?

I'm not quite sure, but I may have gotten a ban today for MMR boosting. The email I got from riot just says that some action I took was in violation of the Terms of Use. Still trying to figure out what's going on....the only thing I can remember is that back during the Harrowing my and a few friend's accounts got these links that were "giving out" free skins. I didn't try to get any of these free skins because it was an obvious scam, but a few of my friends told me that they had gotten the link sent from ME, which I knew I didn't do, so I suspect that i might have gotten hacked.

Buddy of mine got banned for this too. None of think he did it he had been gold in previous seasons, but we still roast the shit out of him in group calls about it now. I understand that Riot can't reveal their method of detecting this because they want it to continue to work. However I also think that they need to know it is in no way 100% accurate.

In the case of my friend I have a theory, I think he was banned for being toxic but they called it Elo boosting to add some more punishment and have him lose his end of season rewards.

Yeah, happend to many other people too. Usually they open a thread like this, and in a few pages some rioter comes to confirm they did something that deserves the ban.

Riot doesn't ban accounts for MMR boosting unless they are 100% sure. However, it can take up to a few months for the ban to come into effect, so it's possible the MMR boosting happened quite awhile ago.
