Its come to this?

I was talking to a friend and he literally told me he wont allow his kids to play league because the community is so bad.

At first I thought this was an overreaction; however, as I have been playing more and more lately I have also come to realize that not only is this BY FAR the worst and most toxic community of any online game, but the game developers know this and do nothing! In my last game I was flamed for 30 minutes straight. I had a support who was autofilled and thus started taking my cs as adc. When I said please stop taking my cs he afk'd under turret for a bit and proceeded to just talk trash.

For half an hour I was ridiculed and trash talked, so I tried muting them but was ping spammed to hell as a response. When I said I was going to report them their response was "Who cares, you're dog shit and Riot wont do anything about it." This is what Riot ALLOWS to happen in their game and does nothing about it. I have been playing this game for many years and the community has steadily gotten worse, which i never thought possible.

I admit I have gotten heated at people before and on rare occasion I have said some rude and mean things, but always in response to flaming/trolling that I am receiving. Not a justification and I try to not stoop to that level but sometimes you just type before you think.

After everything that I have witnessed lately I have to agree with my friend. This game is definitely no longer kid friendly and that is based ENTIRELY off the community. Mature language filter doesnt catch some things.

Riot I really hope you do something to address this problem because as the new generation of gamers comes up, they might not be playing your game because the community has become a toxic cesspool and people are tired of dealing with it.

what age are kids.... 13+ to even make an account without parents permission at 13 every child hears everything that is said in league daily inside their school(public) So are you going to withdraw the kids from school simply because they hear things, you don't deem good?

There's 3 options to the Community changing: A) It has changed and become worse by all means the fault of older members B) It has changed, due to influx of "kids" C) It hasn't changed and what you're seeing is the development of loopholes that people are figuring out.

My choice is C), people have always acted this way. I've played since season 1, this game has not become more or less toxic. The difference is there are just more people playing this game, season 1 was like 5 million users season 7 is like 50 million users.

back to your kids matter Isn't it fair to say it's your responsibility to watch over their best interests? So if you feel their best interests lie outside of league of legends by all means, ban them from LEAGUE. Just note, any other moba is at the same level or worse(dota2) in terms of toxicity.

best of luck in your determination of an online video game for your kids

A parent who thinks his teenager isn't hearing worse at school probably doesn't have the cognitive reasoning required to be allowed to raise children in the first place.

Ugh...to anyone who says kids hear worse in school... I think your pretty mistaken. While yeah kids talk a lot of shit I don't remember anyone in Jr. High ever telling me that I along with my whole family should get cancer and die. I've literally been impressed with some of the messed up stuff people say to each other in this game. To be honest I don't think kids have the life experience to even come up with half the things I've read in chat.
