Probably one of the most annoying things in the entire game is instalocking. Don't be a douche! Just because you didn't get the lane you wanted means that you have to ruin someone else game. You may even screw your entire team by doing so, because then maybe the other will also instalock mid and poor ADC left alone to die at bot lane, while mid becomes a lane where nobody gets enough farm, both players are under leveled, a lot of toxic comments happen and sooner or later you will get destroyed in a 2v1 because the enemy laner has more cs items and levels than both of you. Either that or the summoner 11 will come and 2v2 and win because they will both usually be levels ahead of you. Then the snowballed laner (Mid/Top usually) will make the rest of the team miserable and usually make them flame on you, and by the end you will probably get reported. Is it really worth playing that one game with your champion? Is playing, for example, Zed that ONE GAME really worth risking not even having FUN? Is it worth risking the fact you may get reported by everyone? If you want to instalock, at least be flexible and if your lane was taken, switch to what is left open. Many people would rather play with a Syndra support than a Syndra Xerath duo midlane. Because hey, Syndra support might work, or Xerath support might work, but duo midlane will almost always result in an unenjoyable experience.

PS: This is mostly ranting because last couple of games I've had people instalock lanes and make the experience so unenjoyable that i'd rather dodge and wait 15 min than play a game with these people who will almost always be Teemo Singed Twitch (toxic). All I wish is a way to report for instalocking when lanes already called, but I know its extremley hard due to how hard it could be abused. summoner 30 item 3902 item 3026

Auto locking has always been a problem for me especially in Duo Lanes, I am tired of it, and that is why I do very bad sometimes feed when playing these roles, and more-less a lot more feed when players don't play defensively.

However in the next season patch they are supposed to put in Role Selection, no its not perfect, but it gives players the chance like myself to avoid roles we would generally be our worst in, over-all makes game-play better.

Auto locking will still be a problem in some cases especially when it comes to a bot lane player, and players who don't even try to sync when there is a valid team-comp, but it will also allow players who are used to bot lane to do this role therefore possibly reducing feed, and making games better.

I usually play in a duo bot lane, so if somebody auto locks bot I just leave them 2 v 1 until they get sick of it and go top instead. This has actually happened to me multiple times and if they feed in bot lane, tough luck. There isn't much you can do about an auto locker until they do something that is actually reportable. They are toxic in general so just wait for them to say something mean or offending or racist or whatever so you can report them. In the report use the little box to tell them what they said. Also mention that they auto locked and refused to play adaptively with the team.

In my opinion, the problem with people is that they instalock a lane instead of instalocking a champion. you can play a simple champion in any lane, but you have to choose out of 3 lanes to play in, if that makes any sense. It's why i'm willing to play Ryze top, mid, or botlane. It's worked so far.
