Probably one of the most annoying things in the entire game is instalocking. Don't be a douche! Just because you didn't get the lane you wanted means that you have to ruin someone else game. You may even screw your entire team by doing so, because then maybe the other will also instalock mid and poor ADC left alone to die at bot lane, while mid becomes a lane where nobody gets enough farm, both players are under leveled, a lot of toxic comments happen and sooner or later you will get destroyed in a 2v1 because the enemy laner has more cs items and levels than both of you. Either that or the will come and 2v2 and win because they will both usually be levels ahead of you. Then the snowballed laner (Mid/Top usually) will make the rest of the team miserable and usually make them flame on you, and by the end you will probably get reported. Is it really worth playing that one game with your champion? Is playing, for example, that ONE GAME really worth risking not even having FUN? Is it worth risking the fact you may get reported by everyone? If you want to instalock, at least be flexible and if your lane was taken, switch to what is left open. Many people would rather play with a support than a duo midlane. Because hey, support might work, or support might work, but duo midlane will almost always result in an unenjoyable experience.

PS: This is mostly ranting because last couple of games I've had people instalock lanes and make the experience so unenjoyable that i'd rather dodge and wait 15 min than play a game with these people who will almost always be (toxic). All I wish is a way to report for instalocking when lanes already called, but I know its extremley hard due to how hard it could be abused.

Auto locking has always been a problem for me especially in Duo Lanes, I am tired of it, and that is why I do very bad sometimes feed when playing these roles, and more-less a lot more feed when players don't play defensively.

However in the next season patch they are supposed to put in Role Selection, no its not perfect, but it gives players the chance like myself to avoid roles we would generally be our worst in, over-all makes game-play better.

Auto locking will still be a problem in some cases especially when it comes to a bot lane player, and players who don't even try to sync when there is a valid team-comp, but it will also allow players who are used to bot lane to do this role therefore possibly reducing feed, and making games better.

I usually play in a duo bot lane, so if somebody auto locks bot I just leave them 2 v 1 until they get sick of it and go top instead. This has actually happened to me multiple times and if they feed in bot lane, tough luck. There isn't much you can do about an auto locker until they do something that is actually reportable. They are toxic in general so just wait for them to say something mean or offending or racist or whatever so you can report them. In the report use the little box to tell them what they said. Also mention that they auto locked and refused to play adaptively with the team.

The problem with this however is riot defines this behavior as toxic and punished me in the past for doing this before, but Riot always told me that playing badly in a bot lane would never result in being perm suspended from the game too in which case I got perm suspended because no one ever wanted to listen and play defense and the early games is where I do god awful if I get a auto lock and stubborn adc, or support who doesn't want to win really.

So the question really is what do you do when you know you are going to feed, or do badly in a bot lane because of behavior like this, do you stay and feed, or do you be toxic and leave them by themselves, its hard to define either way because if you stay and feed as a result, you still get punished, but I agree I would rather be doing something that could benefit my team in the long run when and play defensively on the turret when the game is going to go bad because winning isn't impossible but when you push out and feed, then everyone starts getting upset and losing their lanes it becomes impossible.

I tried this before and got punished for it a few times over months like a year ago at least.

Basically if you leave your ADC who auto locks, or Support bottom lane, and go gank other lanes or use of other tactics without the other person agreeing in chat, Riot considers it toxic behavior.

But they also consider feeding toxic behavior when you do bad because all your team-mate wants to do bottom lane is push out and the enemy gets fed.

So its like in a nut-shell of what is right and wrong to do when you know you are going to play badly in a game but there isn't a lot you can do about it.

In my opinion, the problem with people is that they instalock a lane instead of instalocking a champion. you can play a simple champion in any lane, but you have to choose out of 3 lanes to play in, if that makes any sense. It's why i'm willing to play Ryze top, mid, or botlane. It's worked so far.

I can see what you mean by instalocking a lane, but its kind of the same thing. They instalock a lane BY instalocking a champion, so its almost but not quite the same problem. Yes it makes sense. But what happens when you're forced to Ryze jg? o_O Ryze summoner 11
