Player told me to kill myself
So I played a game and afterwards the jax player on our team friended me just to tell me to kill myself. He went in to detail about how I should do it. Is there a way I can get this guy banned?

Did you report him in the post game lobby? If so, then it will be reviewed.
If not or if said after a report, submit a support ticket.
Just tell him to 'fuck off and sea lion elsewhere' that's how real men deal with it.
On a side note send a support ticket.
You can screenshot the chat and send it to riot support. Reports in the post game lobby will only look at behavior in the pre/post-game chat and in-game. Other than that I would be careful about friending strangers on the internet for reasons such as this.
So one of your friends was joking with you about suicide?
