LeaverBuster Causing Anxiety to Those Facing Glitches
Recently I had an experience with a game glitch that wouldn't let me get into a game, it was one of those games that has the bug popup which tells you that the glitch is ancient and you probably need to reinstall league before you can play again.
This frankly sucked. I listened to my friends playing a game while I did everything in my power to make a game that was working fine five minutes ago, work again. Then when it FINALLY worked, I was informed I was LeaverBustered. This was frustrating, but I can move on. However those with anxiety could feel extremely upset by this and it could put them into an episode of distress, that isn't fair. There was no way to "redeem" myself and I was stuck reading how horrible I am for leaving a game. It certainly caused me stress and frustration and I like having a clean record - this gave me no way to have that.
I sent a request to tech and was told that I got the popup because regardless of blame, my team mates are affected. Yes, they were. So was I, but I didn't deserve to be told that. Somebody who tries hard just to be able to talk to people could give up on this game that can and does have a great community in it.
So I'm proposing (because I was told to suggest things if I want change, by a person in support)** that there be a way to report a "this wasn't my fault" where the information is logged into a central system. **
These logs can then be viewed and if something is consistently popping up it can be sent to devs for review.
Then if it becomes excessive that the person is leaving games from bugs there can be targetted support for them with a pre-emptive email being sent and should they just be leaving they can get banned for that then. Just seems wrong that somebody would have problems and instead of having somebody reach out they get banned from the game.
Stay positive. <3
