Questions to Riot about how Griefing teamates are handled

Just a simple question. If someone intentionally griefs and int's in your game; is just one report or incident enough for punishment? Do they need to Grief multiple game or is one enough to get punished?

I'm asking this because I had a game where 2 people Griefted in my game. One had past history of this behavior. The other seems to just inted randomly for no apparent reason. (No history)

The person who has history if this has not played since the day that they were reported. (So they may have got banned?)

The other person who had no history of this behavior has played since then. (So I'm assuming nothing happened?)

I'm hoping I can get some good data about this, and anything you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Griefing is complicated. It is very hard to prove griefing, and even when it's possible to prove behavior, griefing necessarily requires proof of intent. Someone abandoning lane is griefing, but were they intending to troll or was their ADC so far ahead that they went AP mid to make up for a midlaner who was severely lacking? It's extremely hard to prove intent, which is what's necessary for Riot to issue punishments to players for "griefing" or any other form of trolling, intentional feeding, etc.

In my case the people were 100% trying to lose/int the game. They had clear intent to what they were trying to do. They were lvl 3 trying to 1v1 the level 6 lanner along with many other things like staying level 2 till 8 min, that made it 100% impossible to win the game.

My main question i was trying to ask is; does Riot ban people after truly inting one game or does the person need a history of doing these things.

Nope. One game is enough. That being said, this may sound harsh, but Riot isn't going to take your "the people were 100% trying to lose/int the game" as proof. They'll look at both public statistics as well as private, internal logs (ex: keystrokes) to determine if the person was beyond a reasonable doubt trolling or not.

Keep in mind, going into fights that you think they'll lose isn't necessarily intentionally feeding. They could be just a bad player who misinterpreted their strength.

I just put the "people were 100% trying to lose/int the game" part to be over the top. I know some people are not that good at the game and weird strategies at not worthy of a ban. But when people intentionally waste other peoples time by trying to lose on purpose it pisses me off. I submitted a ticket explaining the whole thing. I wanted to know if what they did called for punishment, but the answer i got was unsatisfactory so i came to the boards to see if anyone had a good understanding of how these things work.

Short rundown of what happened. (skip or read it)

It was a ranked game so I assume they have a good grasp on the game. Had 2 people who were griefing. One was nunu who decided to afking the jungle and steal xp from people lanes. He was level 2 at 8 min with only about 2 cs. He also had a 13% win rate in ranked with a spicy ap/magic pen sivir jungle game under his belt.

The other person was Plat 2 with a great win-rate but they started following nunu in the jungle taking his blue and most of his camps. He then kept trying to fight the enemy jungle when he was lvl 2 with one item. He then started to run it down mid lane once my lanner hit 6. She was getting 3 hit and did it 3 more times then they went back to invading again.

I know Riot wont just take my word for it, I mainly wanted to know how the process worked. That is why i was wondering if one violation would be enough to call for punishment. And if multiple report were necessary or any action to be taken.

One violation is enough, and only one report is needed :)
