Reporting System Stinks

Riot needs to bring back the tribunal. This reporting system stinks. Once I asked a guy on my team to stop cursing he said he was in a 4 man premade and all of his friends were going to report me.

Yup got chat restricted.

Ive been reported for taking a summoner the others didnt agree with. Ive been reported for ganking a lane and disrupting a guys ability to farm.

There is no downside to reporting people. And you get reported for everything. Theres no oversight to read chat logs like you used to could do in a tribunal and have a vote taken on guilt or innocence.

People will report you for how you build, what summoner you take, not ganking their lane, ganking their lane when they want to farm. Basically, I imagine people report everyone for just about anything.

And this automated system just assumes you are guilty and smacks you down.

It really makes the game unfun.

And for the life of me, I do not know if these reports ever fall off your record or if I will get perma banned for asking people not to curse.

I think the reporting system encourages more bad behaviour than it stops. And it encourages people to report others more often.

Some people "deserve" to be reported. But when you say try and be more careful and you get 3 reports for negative attitude its just crazy.

You say please dont turret dive ... and blammo ... reports.

The tribunal wasnt perfect but it was a lot more fair when people could read the logs and vote. Now people just report anybody for anything and they know the automated system will mash em.

The downside to reporting people for no reason is that the person doing the reporting's reports lose almost the entirety of their potency in the system.

And you get reported for everything

According to Dr. Professor Lyte, I've been reported in fewer than 5% of my games, with the vast majority of them being false or otherwise tossed out. This isn't meant to say I'm a special snowflake or anything, the point I'm getting at is that it's simply not the case that everyone is reported for everything.

And this automated system just assumes you are guilty and smacks you down.

This is false, the behavioral systems in place throw away reports that don't have any merit.

Could you show us the reform card you got when chat restricted, out of curiosity? It'll likely be in an email somewhere, possibly in spam/junk.

Did you get a reform card?

I guess.. reported is not the same as punished?? You can be reported for anything, nothing, eveything.. But if it's a bogus report then nothing will be done... and the reporters reports will begin to have less weight.
