Player not banned for hate speech?

I had a top laner who called everyone on our team the n word in post game chat. I know he got at least 4 reports, two of which were from the enemy team. I decided to take a look at op.gg to see if he was punished and I find that he is playing like usual. I thought this sort of thing was an insta ban? I'm really confused as to why this is allowed.

He may get an auto chat restriction at first - I think sometimes bans come later on manual review? Don't quote me on that though.

The number of reports doesn't matter, nor who they come from - as long as there's 1 or more reports it'll get processed.

he should get a insta 14 day ban if riot sticks to their word, your best bet would be a ticket to riot support and dont forget to send in both the replay and the persons summoner name

I'm actually not sure why he wasn't banned shortly thereafter the reports. Typically zero tolerance policy words are picked up if the reports are checked properly by the reporter. So if someone just put griefing and didn't put hate speech, it'll take longer to detect because the IFS isn't reading the chat logs. If you flag it for hate speech, then the IFS is reading chat logs.

To my knowledge, the N word is a zero tolerance policy word, and I think it should stay there. If it indeed has gotten dropped down to a 25 game chat restriction, I would be deeply disappointed with Riot.
