...Are you sure? A driver update seems like it might cause you to fail to join a game, which should result in an AFK penalty -- which isn't a punishment that reduces your ability to get rewards to my knowledge. Can you give a little more information?
What we want to know is what is the nature of the punishment that took place? What does the punishment message say?
From our combined knowledge of the punishment system, not loading into a game (which had to be inferred, since you did not specify what occurred after the driver update happened) would not cause a penalty that would impact your rewards.
