Trolling Tactic that I encountered.

I recently was in a ranked game where I encountered a person who was ruining the game with a secretive tactic. I was playing adc and my support was lux, after getting hit by one brand w I am barraged by question mark pings. I brush it off but it happens again and again. I then try to tell him to stop and without an answer I mute his pings,emotes, and speech. Then they start taking cs purposefully after multiple times they use abilities to just finish off minions. I unmute them only and try to tell them to stop, they still don't answer. I am decently annoyed at this person as this lane agaisnt a brand support (I find it a hard lane to play) has gotten much harder. My mid laner was kind enough to let me go mid lane while he goes bot lane. My support then doesn't troll my mid laner but acts all innocent. My top laner then starts making fun about how my support has almost as much or more cs than me and ignores that fact that they have been trolling me. Later on in the game my support even admitted they didn't even want to win this game. Throughout the game I tried to tell my team about their trolling behavior but they don't really listen due to them not getting trolled at all. After losing the game I received a chat restriction for 10 games, I have not gotten any notification that this person has been punished even thought they were the problem here. Since they only trolled me, nobody else really though of reporting this guy and he gets away with trolling.

Feel free to talk to me about the game and how we could fix this issue on trolls. I believe we could start by listen to other teammates more but feel free to talk about any other solution.

Just to be clear I have not been banned or chat restricted ever before to my knowledge.

So.. here’s the biggest thing: Riot’s stance is that nobody owns anything except their assigned role. Nobody owns CS, or jungle camps, or buffs, or tower gold, etc. Thus, there is literally no concept of someone “stealing” CS in the game mechanics. As there is no concept of stealing CS, it cannot be said to be technically trolling to do so. The bottom line is that if all they were doing was taking your CS, that is perfectly permissible within the game. It only became trolling when you started getting frustrated over it.

And that’s what the trolls are almost always after - frustration and a response from you. If you don’t give them what they’re after and just keep playing as if nothing happened, you’ll piss them off - and you won’t risk getting banned for retaliatory toxicity.

Submit a ticket about it, Riot support can investigate the player and - while they can't tell you what results from the investigation - they will be able to tell if this person does that consistently.

They will be dealt with appropriately, even if you don't get to know how or when.

You don't need to ask your teammates to report someone, your report will be enough.

I play a lot of ADC too, and it is frustrating, whenever this happens I pay close attention to where both junglers are. When one of them dies just grab a jg camp or two. Or you can roam and help gank another lane. lastly, pick a champ with solid waveclear (Sivir comes to mind). This problem usually only lasts during early game, so if you cant keep up your cs just play passive and wait for your item spikes.

In my experience, supps who steal cs often get too aggressive and end up feeding because of their carry playstyle in the support position, and thats when they start badmouthing their adc, and that is where they might be banned for behavior. might. Hope this advice helps you.

I encountered passive agressive lux “supports” like this all the time.” I just dodge when i see support take lux cause 99% of the time they rush Ap, no support items whatsoever, Purposely take all the cs and kills, all while not saying a damn word to anyone.

Everytime i had a support do this. They played lux. They already have to be trying to lose just by picking lux support too

A champion's kit doesn't change just because they picked support. A Lux with tons of CS is fine.

I respect supports that take farm if they think their adc can't carry.

Two things:

You don't need to tell people about something just to get them to report it. Because the way the IFS works, a player's behavior gets reviewed based on whether or not the game was reported. The IFS doesn't give a game more weight if there are more reports. The IFS won't ignore games where there are only a few reports. The IFS looks at all games reported.

This means, you got a chat restriction because you asked for reports and then used that as a platform to jump off into being negative with your lux that you had a bad experience with. It's a light punishment so I wouldn't take it personally but as a lesson to just report and move on.

CS belongs to no one. Riot has said this many times. CS is for all champions, it's just a matter of how your teammates feel about it.

I'll take CS in a lane as a support if my ADC will miss it since there's no guarantee that the minion will drop a coin for me (except for canon minions) so if the gold is not going to my ADC, I'll take it instead of feeding it to the grass. If the CS belonged to ADC's, pro players and many people playing this game would have been permabanned long ago for having taken CS that would have been wasted by the ADC.
