On the load screen I loaded 100% and so did everyone else except one player. I waited....patiently, because there was one person stuck at 43%. Finally decide to exit the game and reload. What do you know it was me who got DC and everyone else was playing the game. now I'm restricted, even though I did good and we won the game. The other team had someone get pissed off too so bad they just started to feed the whole game. I bet they don't get punished. Thank you Riot.

It's bad luck. However, I don't believe leaver buster works immediately after just one game. Also, don't bring a strawman argument into the situation. I understand your frustration but it doesn't really matter. Whether the feeder did or did not get punish is irrelevant to your situation of being disconnected.

if it was just one game, you won't get busted through leaver buster.

You would have had to accumulate at least 5 AFK games for you to get busted.

So don't rage quit / AFK during your games you don't need to AFK. It'll use up your AFK grace tokens that is supposed to be for emergency / technical difficulties.

Also, if this happens frequently, I suggest you to not download stuff / stream stuff during the loading screen. The game stops loading when it doesn't have enough bandwidth do load the game.

LeaverBuster doesn't punish for leaving/afking just one game, it punishes for consistently leaving/afking multiple games over a short period of time. From Ulanopo's Knowledge Base:

I only left one game and it was for a good reason. I shouldn’t have been banned.”

Two quick things: [1] No one in this forum can help you with a LeaverBuster ban. That’s a separate system and we have no oversight or control over it. [2] A LeaverBuster ban occurs because you have accumulated a large number of leaves and/or AFK time. It is your responsibility to fix your **** before it reaches that level.

That established, there is NO good reason to leave a match. The system is tuned so that you can leave if you have to, but only on an infrequent basis. It’s all the leaves and AFKs before the one that triggered LeaverBuster that led to your ban. It’s like using up all your sick leave to go to the beach, then complaining that you don’t have any PTO when you fall ill. YOU chose to use up your leeway with the system.

What the other person did doesn't matter as this is about you and you alone. If the other person has a habit of intentionally feeding then they will eventually be punished. Again though, this case is about you and you alone.

P.S. Having a civil discussion means not calling or assuming that anyone who disagrees with you is a Riot fanboy. If you want Yesman answers then you're out of luck.

Riot thinks they are preventing toxic players from playing the game but they are just really being bullies to people who pay good money to play the game.
