First time banned is a permanent one

This is my first time banned I’ve been chat restricted for 25 games but never banned. I admit to saying toxic things but shouldn’t it go to 14 day ban to perma?

The normal progression is 10 Game Chat Restriction, 25 Game Chat Restriction, 14 Day Ban, Permanent Ban.

At any point in the process, excessive toxicity can cause an escalated punishment. It's possible to go from unpunished to permanent ban in one step, if the logs deserve it.

You could ask the Support Team what caused the escalation, and ask for a reduction.

/edit Also, earning your next punishment while still under a chat restriction can cause an escalated punishment.

from what I've heard it's never possible to skip the 14 day ban with only toxicity.

so he is probably lying or was banned for other reasons.

From the Instant Feedback System FAQ

Punishments generally follow a basic escalation path:

First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction Third Offense: Two Week Suspension Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account.

You've had a chat restriction. But that aside from that, yes .. your behavior was bad enough for a direct perma-ban, even without that.

Tbh I have never seen somebody skip the 14 day ban.

Even people who actively tried to get insta perma banned with hate speech and all were 14 day banned first. This would be the first case known to me that somebody gets a perma ban without a 14 day ban first for toxicity.

You probably should have realized that after 25 game chat restriction, you are on thin ice.. Never push a system to the limit unless you want to get burned.
