How else would you explain falling 3+ levels behind in a bot game?

There are ways to be flagged as AFK and receive a Leaverbuster punishment without physically leaving the game. One of those, as Riot Tantram has already stated, is moving your champion around simply to avoid getting automatically kicked from the match. If you run around in circles doing absolutely nothing useful, sure you will avoid the automatic kick, but you don't avoid Leaverbuster.
