I have been Permanently Banned after 3-4 years of playing league of legends.

I have been PERMANENTLY. BANNED. from league of legends., and to be honest, i am completely shocked, and to be quite frank, a little appalled. Over my years of playing this great game, i have seen it all. The good, the bad, and most definitely, the UGLY. WE ALL HAVE. The teemo jungles, the AP talons, the tank kog'maw's. WE ALL know the type of things that can be found in league of legends that will both lose you your game, and make you angry, and there is just nothing you can do about it. A couple weeks ago, i was banned, for 2 weeks. I played top, and the shen rework had just come out, so i played shen, to try him out, in a NORMAL game. i had a teemo support, who proceeded to insult me, in team and all chat, because i had died early on. SO, I retaliated, and insulted him back. i understand that isn't the right way to go about things, but fight fire with fire. Fast forward, the game ends, and teemo actually ended up having less of an input on the game than i did. I do not even know if this player got banned. But you can bet your sweet little bottom, that i was banned. for 2 weeks. for defending myself when assaulted with insults, and negative comments. Now, i just got banned, yet again, this time PERMANENTLY. My enemy laner, was talking crap to me, insulting me, and overall being, excuse my language, but an a**hole. So, we go back and forth. I do not know if this player has been banned like i was, even though he has done the same thing i did, so shouldn't he be banned?.. The bottom line is. I have invested hours of my time into this game, ad it all up it comes to over 100 days of total gameplay time. thats 100 days i could have spent ANYWHERE else. is it not clear that i love this game? i have spent over $300 on league of legends total. (i had even just purchased $5 worth of RP that i was saving for a skin that would later be going on sale this month, and now that has been taken from me as well) And for all of that to be taken away from me? Because i replied to negativity with negativity? when someone says "you suck" what do i say "thanks"? Do i kill them with kindness? I understand i don't have to say ANYTHING in response, but really? over the couple of years that i have played this game, it became more of a lifestyle rather than a game. So many sleepless nights, missed outings with friends, even gone days without showering. I am addicted to this game. it is a great game, and i love it more than anything in this world. And for me to be banned, after all the blood sweat and tears, time and money invest in this game... It's going to end like this? Riot please. Don't knock yourself off of the pedestal i hold you on by doing this. I love this game, but I will not make another account, spend $300 on it, rank it up, unlock champions, skins, and all that jazz, again. Because after my years of service on the rift, i'm too tired, to just STAR ANEW.

it became more of a lifestyle rather than a game. So many sleepless nights, missed outings with friends, even gone days without showering. I am addicted to this game.

I feel like you should be more concerned about that than being banned from some online game that doesn't care if you make another account.

No, you didn't defend yourself, you fought back. If you simply defended yourself, pointed out where the other player was wrong in a calm and non toxic manner, you wouldn't have been touched.

Instead, you chose to "fight fire with fire", as you put it, a decision that ends well for no one, something you found out the hard way.

Be the better man. You don't need to drag your other teammates through the quagmire of back and forth flaming because one guy on the team is being an idiot.

As for the permaban, you got your 10-game chat restriction, your 25-game chat restriction, and your 14-day ban as warnings to knock it off. Did you think that was normal? It's not, and it mentions as much in the notices that you get.

If you want to keep playing this game, you will have to start over from scratch. That's your punishment for not taking the hint and changing how you react to situations. If you think this is your stepping off point, I can understand that and wish you good luck on finding another great game that wins you over.

Gotta say it does seem like your fault. And whether or not you love the game and/or spend $$$ on it, if you're toxic you deserve bans and such.

This is, in my opinion, one of the stupidest things Riot could do. If a player is being toxic with words, shouldn't the punishment be taking away his ability to chat? I feel like a perma ban from the game for toxic comments is going too far. Honestly, a perma mute would be a more accurate punishment.

Oh and the ban was definitely deserved. Sorry dude, but your first ban should've been a huge red light already. Look at me, the moment someone rages in the team or starts throwing insults, I mute them and carry on.
