The LoL player-base is beyond childish

Hi guys, I haven't even been playing for a week and the one qualm I have with the game is some of the other players you run into. Personally, I don't care if people trash talk me but apparently you can get banned on this game for being rude so I usually just respond with a "lol" or something. Regardless, these players always go to all chat and tell everyone to report me for random stuff so that I will get banned... It's honestly beyond pathetic that they're doing this and I'll probably get a temporary ban soon since it's happening at least once per day.

If all you do is respond by laughing them off, you'll be in no danger. The system will verify validity of every report that comes in. If you've done nothing wrong, it basically throws that report out as invalid.

the automated system is a joke though. if everybody is non-toxic at the beginning of the game and getting along and you say something like "sorry i fucked up on that gank" then later your team decides to spam report you because yal are now losing the game or whatever. you get a punishment for simply cussing. but yeah as long as he is just saying lol should be fine. sad but true

Please provide chat logs from a punishment to prove your argument.

It has been stated time and again, including by Riot, that cursing itself can be okay. Like in the example you used. When you start cursing out other people is where there's a problem.

What you're claiming simply does not happen.

and yes I have personally seen chat punishments just from having cuss words in the chat, I spam report people every time I see cuss words in chat just to prove that it happens. I would say 15 percent of games I get the thanks for helping someone get punished message off of this tactic. They probably had prior punishments seeing as something so small triggered something but still
