Tyler1 was ID-unbanned, means he's allowed to create & play on a new account without having it insta-banned on sight. His previous permabanned account was never unlocked.

I thought we were done with threads like this a year ago or whatever.

T1 didn't get any accounts back. He had been ID banned, which prevented him from publicly playing League on ANY account, even new ones. That ban was removed, allowing him to make a new account and play it.

If you've been permanently banned from League, you have exactly the same rights as Tyler1: You may make a new account and play that instead.

He was not given back the account, but was allowed to play again, he had an ID ban.

No banned players that were correctly banned receive their accounts back.

Tyler1 was ID banned, which is unique and done to prevent streamers from streaming. __

We seriously need a report option of "not actually reading the T1 case".

In some cases(very rare cases, mind you), an account that has been issued a perma ban has a chance to get it appealed, depending on the account holder's previous behavior. If they are consistently toxic, then there is no hope.

However, if they show signs of consistent sportsmanship, friendliness, and teamwork, then they have a sliver of hope. And it matters what you say to Riot employees via the support chat, you're walking on thin ice, especially considering that these are the people that can help you resolve your issue.

I actually had my account perma-banned, but then got it appealed, due to the fact that

A) What I was banned for was considered borderline toxic, and was worth, at most, a chat restriction, if even that.

AND

B) I showed consistent behavior of not only non-toxic chat, but also sportsmanship, and encouragement/friendliness towards my teammates in the past.

TL;DR If your toxicity is contained within very isolated instances, there's still hope for your account. Contact Riot Support. I'd recommend live chat.

Good luck with your situation.

P.S. It's not discrimination, that's not how that works.

P.S.S. Tyler1 had his indefinite ban lifted, not his account bans, meaning that Riot won't ban him on sight anymore when they see him playing, as long as he follows the rules of the game. All of his previous accounts are still perma-banned.

easy answer

the person tyler1 was banned from playing league. whenever riot found that he created a fresh account and was playing lol, they discovered the account name and ban it. no reason needed. secula secularum.

ok?

now riot decided that the person tyler1 is allowed to play again lol. the person, not the accounts. those 20ish account STAY banned forever and ever.

the person tyler1 is allowed to create a new FRESH account and play the game. FOLLOWING the rules of the game.

is it clear, for the 24324789 time someone had to explain this?

share the info, before someone else reiterate the same silly statement.

thanks

Great.. Another person who doesn't understand the difference between ID ban and Permaban.

Also they said that there are exceptions but incredibly rare. Sooooooo.

T1 had a playerID ban: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013815928-Understanding-ID-Bans

When his playerID ban was removed, they never gave back any of his permabanned accounts.

Also, it is possible to remove permabans. They just have a policy to not unban permabanned accounts if the punishment was applied correctly.

ID ban =/= permaban

ID ban is much much worst

Arcanine197/12/2018, 12:58:14 PM2 votes

I mean I don't think you understand the difference between the bans Tyler1 was PERMA banned for THE GAME. What does this mean? If he tries to create another account and stream the game he would get that account banned right after because he wasn't allowed to play the game. Now normal perma bans (most of people who get banned get them) are bans that are permanent to the account applied. Which means that people who get banned can create a new account and start over again from the ground. Thats what the 'unban' of Tyler1 was (he went from not being able to play the game to have all his old accounts still banned but being able to create new accounts and start all over again) Which means he has the same privileges as the other banned players
